Once they were back at the Summers' home, Giles and Wesley started researching the binding spell that had been cast on Willow. As soon as Giles sat down at the dining room table to start researching, Rupe went to sit beside his father.

"Hey, Giles who is this? A mini-Watcher?" Cordelia asked wondering whom the child belonged to. He looked just like Giles.

"Cordelia, you haven't met Rupert Whitsonby, my son." Giles told her.

Cordelia looked at Giles in shock. "Well what else have you been hiding?"

"My Dad didn't know about me until yesterday. Do you help him and Buffy kill vampires too?" the child asked her.

"Sometimes, I live in L.A. now."

"Oh, you work with Angel and Wesley?"

"Yeah." Cordelia answered the child, still in shock at finding Giles had a son. She sat down and picked up a book to help with the research to find the spell that had bound Willow's powers.

The group had been researching about an hour when the van pulled up in the driveway with the last three of their group. Quickly, Angel and Spike rushed through the open door to the kitchen and soon joined the others in researching.

Hank watched as the group tried to find the spell that would free the young witch he had just met. If someone had told him two days ago that he would be sitting in a room with two former watchers, two vampires, two witches, a former demon and a vampire slayer, who was his daughter, he would have sent that person to the loony bin. Yet here he sat trying to help, not really sure what he could do. Hank turned back to the book he was looking through and tried to concentrate, determined to do everything in his power to help in any way he could.

It was several hours later when Wesley looked up at Giles. "Giles, could we being overlooking the simple binding spells that would have been popular during the time that Jacques was human?" Wesley asked.

"Wesley, do you think it would be that simple?" Giles asked him.

"From what I know of Jacques, he always chose the simplest way to do anything. Once he learned a spell, he always used the same spell to do that particular task," Spike told the group.

Giles went back to a stack of books that he had already gone through, dismissing the simple spells that had been in the book. He went through it again and drew Wesley and Willow's attention to a simple spell.

"With what Spike had told us, I believe this may be the binding spell that Jacques used," Giles told them as he pointed out a simple binding spell that had been heavily used during the period when Jacques had lived. Wesley and Giles quickly gathered the supplies they needed and within fifteen minutes had freed Willow from the binding. Once she was freed, everyone gathered in the living room to discuss what was to be done now.

"Spike, what else do you know about Jacques?" Giles asked as he sat beside Buffy with Rupe in his lap.

"He has a one-track mind. From what I overheard when I went to the factory last night, he has been planning this for several years. He will probably try to recapture Willow, Xander and Cordelia tonight. We'll have to be prepared."

"I so don't want to go back there!" Cordelia told the group.

"Me either," Willow quickly agreed.

"I suggest that we all stay together and prepare to be attacked. There are spells we can cast to ward the house so no demons can enter. We have weapons and we can get any the other magic supplies we'll need before the sun sets." Giles told the group.

"Daddy, will you protect me from the demons?" Rupe asked in a scared voice.

"Of course. No one will harm you. I'm here and so is Buffy. Everyone here will help to protect you. I'll stay here while Wesley and Buffy go to my condo to gather the supplies we'll need. Willow, Tara and I will start warding the house with the supplies that we already have."

The next hour before sunset was spent getting ready for the attack that all expected to come just after dark. As soon as the sun set, Spike went to the roof to watch which direction the attack would come from. About an hour after sunset he saw a lone figure walking down the street toward the Summers' residence. He called and let them know that someone was coming. Giles, Wesley, Willow and Tara were ready with spells to repel anything that got past the wards; while Buffy, Angel, Xander and Anya stood ready with weapons poised.

"It's Jacques!" Spike called from the roof as he recognized the lone vampire sorcerer.

Jacques approached the house where the people were that he needed for his spell. He knew that he would be able to persuade them to give themselves up to him. They had to. He was Jacques, the greatest vampire sorcerer that ever lived. Jacques cast a spell of attraction as he entered the property and knew that soon it would be over, they would come to him and he would combine his essence with that of the Master and take over the Hellmouth and then the world. Jacques was so involved in his grandiose plans and that he didn't notice the crossbow bolt in his chest until he started to turn to dust.

The group looked at Anya who had fired the bolt. "I thought you wanted to get rid of him," she said.

Spike looked in all directions and saw no other demons. It was quickly decided that Angel and Wesley would return to the factory and see if there were any vampires still there.

The factory was burning to the ground and there were firefighters at the scene to stop the fire from spreading to any of the other abandoned buildings. There had been no sign of any other vampires, and any spell books that Jacques had were now destroyed.

Once they got back to the house, Angel and Wesley told everyone what they had found. Joyce had made supper and they discussed the last couple of days as they ate. Buffy looked at Giles, who was sitting beside her and with nod from her, he realized that this would be the best time to tell everyone about their plans.

"Everyone, I know you've all met Rupe," Giles started. "But there is something else that I want to share with you. Actually, something that Buffy and I want to share with you," as he said this he reached for Buffy's hand and looked into her eyes. "Buffy and I have realized that the bond that we share as Watcher and Slayer has grown into something more. We want you all know that we are getting married."

Willow screamed and ran to hug her best friend. Xander looked at them with astonishment on his face. Tara, with a knowing smile, went to congratulate the happy couple. Wesley shook Giles hand telling him that he had suspected this would happen ever since he had attempted to be Buffy's third Watcher. Anya said, "Finally, you took long enough!" Cordelia watched Angel as he quietly left then she went to congratulate the couple, knowing that Angel needed time alone.

It was several minutes before Buffy could get away, knowing that Angel had left. She went to see if he needed to talk.

"Buffy, I'll be okay," he said as he heard her footsteps behind him. "I've suspected that this would happen. I know that he will love and take care of you. I just wish that it could have been me," Angel told the only women he had ever loved.

"Angel. I do love you, I always will. But, I'm not in love with you. I never wanted to hurt you, but I have to get on with my life. That was what you told me when you left. I love Rupert more than I thought I ever could love a man. He understands me, not me the Slayer, but me the person."

"Buffy, I understand that and I know how much he loves you. I want you to be happy. I want all of you to be happy," he told her as he hugged her. "We'll be leaving as soon as we can get every thing together. If you ever need us, all you have to do is call." With that, Angel walked into the night toward his car. Wesley and Cordelia joined him and they headed back to Los Angles.

Buffy felt Giles arms go around her waist as he joined her on the back porch.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concern in his voice.

"I'm fine." Buffy turned around to face the man she loved. "What say we take Rupe and get away for a few days, maybe go camping?" she asked him.

"That sounds like fun. I wonder if Rupe has ever been camping?"

"Why don't we find out?" with that she led him back into the house.
