"I can't believe he's still following us."

"Well, what do you expect? I've told you before to think before you speak."

"Well, I didn't know!"

"No, you never do." Giles paused, taking a deep breath and trying to guess his surroundings. "I am getting fed up with this. I have a date tonight."

Xander turned to look at his friend sideways. "I know it's not with Buffy. Ethan or Wesley?"

Giles smiled. "Why do you ask when it makes you uncomfortable?"

The younger man shrugged. "I just don't get it. After you and Buffy make all the big announcements about admitting your undying love for each other and she doesn't mind you seeing other people. I'm surprised she hasn't hooked you up with one of her new co-workers."

Giles' expression turned to one of shock. "I would never cheat on Buffy with another woman."

"Huh?" A rattle in the trees halted any further conversation. The two men looked at each other and began running again. Only when signs of their pursuer vanished did they pause, Xander gasping to speak between deep breathes. "Why isn't it cheating with Wesley and Ethan?"

"I have to put up with her two pet vampires!" Giles bit his lip, not wanting to discuss the one bone of contention between he and his beloved. "Because it's Ethan and Wesley. Ethan was there before Buffy, and Wesley's a watcher."

"Yeah, that makes sense. Not."

Giles shook his head. "I'm not sure this is the appropriate time for a condensed history of Watchers, but you're really not going to let this go, are you? Very well, the Watcher and Slayer were bound together for life. Eating, training, fighting, and sleeping together. Once society made it immoral for Watcher's to attend to some, er, basic needs with the slayer."

"You mean.? God, that's so sick, and yet strangely hot." A raising of the eyes halted Xander's wandering imagination.

":..Watchers had no choice but to turn to each other for relief. As the ratio of women Watchers to men, has never been high."

"Oh! So, you're not really gay, gay. Like Willow."

Giles sighed. "I've already told you Buffy has my heart. There are just certain needs that she can't tend to."

The two men started walking. "So, were you and Wes, you know, in Sunnydale."

"He approached me. But he assumed he'd be on top, so to speak, and Wesley then did not suit a dominant position. Wesley now, however.."

"Okay, getting close to the TMI there Giles. I don't really need to know how you like your men, or women, or whatever."

Giles paused at the entry gate. "It's getting late. Time to end this Warren Zevon nightmare. Ethan! You're not stopping me from meeting Wesley, so please end your game now!"

Xander wasn't really surprised when a shadow disengaged itself from the trees. "You make it sound as though I'm jealous Ripper. I just wanted to have some fun."

"And a Gorilla wearing sunglasses wandering loose in the Los Angeles zoo is fun?"

"How was I to know the lad would insult the poor ape?"

"I did not insult it! I just commented on its lack of keeping up with the current fashion." The three men paused at the rattling of a branch, and the grunt of a nearby large monkey.

"Ethan, finish it now."

Ethan sighed. "Very well." A few words in an indecipherable language and all was quiet again. "Would you have preferred werewolf hunting in London?"

"Werewolves!!??"

"Relax Xander."

"Yes sonny do. Not as though I would have let the beasts draw blood. I would have left that to Ripper."

"Now that is definitely TMI."

"I don't know," a wistful note entered Giles' voice, "blood can be quite, um, stimulating."

"No offence Giles, but you and Ethan really aren't my type."

"Actually, I was thinking of Wesley."

"Wesley?" The two older men gently refrained from commenting on the higher octave the name finished at.

"Double date Ripper? Sure your pet demon hunter is up for it?"

"Oh, I think you'd be surprised what Wesley's up to. Coming Xander?"

"Now?!"

A wolfish grin crossed Giles' face. "Actually I was thinking more in an hour 's time. Depending on how patient Wes is."

The two older men grabbed their companion's arms and dragged him out of the gate. "Have you guys really chased werewolves in London?"

Ethan whispered in Xander's ear. "When you're feeling more adventurous, ask Giles what he did with them afterwards."

"Ethan!"
