A month later Ron was walking when he heard Harry talking to Sirius about it sounded like Remus. He moved closer being sure they did not hear or see or in Sirius' case Smell him. He listened and what he heard upset him.
"Well, I personally think Remus was lucky we ever spoke to him," Sirius was telling Harry. Same for Ron and Hermoine with you I bet."
"Yeah," Harry answered, "Always wanting to be around me. I'm Famous, I could do so much better than anyone in this school---"
Ron did not need to hear anymore. He backed away shaking as he walked down the hall where he met up with Ginny who took one look at his face and led him to a bench.
"Harry said we were lucky he even deigned to speak with us," Ron said to Ginny. Ginny sighed and nodded.
"Mom thought he was just using you and Hermoine. That's why she got so angry when you turned on Remus. She thought you could think for yourself about some things. Come on, we'll go and talk to Mr. Giles and them now. I think you're ready to know everything the Marauders did and how they dragged Remus into it by holding acceptance over his head. Oh, and if Xander and Spike are a bit familiar with him, don't freak. They accepted him right off making him feel welcome. Well, everyone did actually but they did more."
"I won't Gin," Ron, said. They started to walk to The House of Hecate's Tower when suddenly students started screaming.
"DEMENTORS!" Was screamed as the students ran. Ever since Harry's third year, they ahd been out roving and dangerous. Ron and Ginny were caught in the crush and they found themselves watching as Harry faced the Dementors with his cocky, arrogance.
"Expecto Patronum!" Harry shouted. However, his patronus came out as only a very week image. He stared in horror was the Dementors closed in on him when another voice rang out clearly. Dawn, Ron saw.
"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" she shouted. Ron watched, they all did, as Dawn's patronus, a female figure, shout out of her wand. In it's hand seemed to be a wooden stake and it went after the Dementors, slamming the stake through their hearts utterly destroying them.
When it was done, she, the figure, looked down at Harry. The look on her face was one of contempt.
"What are you supposed to be?" Harry asked snidely. He did not expect it to answer him so his jaw fell open when she did.
"I'm Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. And you are?" she asked as she turned to Dawn and saw Angel. She could see what he could not so she acted for him. Her silvery form walked over to the group of her family, she kissed Angel's cheek lightly and then took his hand and placed it in Wesley's.
"Be good to each other," she said as she looked back at Harry. "Well?" she asked. "Who are you?"
"I'm Harry Potter," he said. Buffy thought and then nodded.
"You're right, Dawn," she said. "He is the Boy Who Got Lucky. I'm always watching over you Dawn. Remember that. I'll always be here to protect you."
She faded then back in to Dawn's wand and dawn just stared. Harry looked at Dawn then.
"What was that? How come yours can talk?" he demanded hotly. Dawn looked at him and shrugged.
"Buffy loved me enough to die for me," she told him. It stands to reasons she's still with me. I've just never forgotten it. I don't allow myself to forget that it was someone else's love that saved me. You have."
Dawn walked past a snickering Luna who smirked at Harry.
"Your dad is not happy with you," she told him as she ran to catch up with her Housemates. "And I pity you if you ever meet the rest of them. You probably wont live to survive the encounter."
Luna vanished with her friends leaving Harry dumbfounded and alone with Sirius. Sirius was watching as well. He'd never seen a Patronus speak before but Dawn's had. Dawn's had because---
"Because Dawn's is the sprit of her sister. The Slayer. Her true Spirit is with Dawn, always. It will always guard and protect her," Giles explained to Ron and Hermoine as they sat in the house of Hecate's Common room. T he hose ahd let them in so Giles figured they belonged here as well. He couldn't wait until the next time something happened. Like Quidditch. Harry was in for a chock when he saw their team. Giles could not wait.
