"Make me stop, Rupert," James had replied.
Sirius had never been sure what had happened but suddenly, the spell had just cut out and James had been unable to use his wand for a week. No one knew what ahd happened but Sirius had been sure it had to do with Ethan Rayne. A very quiet but intelligent boy. But there had been no wand used. It was like it was magic but not a kind Sirius knew of. But, he'd gotten back at Ethan and Rupert. He'd nailed Ethan with a Confusion curse. So he'd mispronounced confound for Chaos. No harm done, right?
Sirius came back to the present and looked down at Harry who was standing on the platform with him. They were waiting for a group of people Dumbledore had asked him to pick up. Harry had asked if there was ever anyone who stood against the Marauders and Sirius was thinking how much to tell him. He was saved from answering by a group coming through the barrier and he just stared. Dumbledore had said he would know the group when he saw them. Yes, he certainly did. Rupert 'Ripper' Giles and Ethan 'Chaos' Rayne. Of course, Dumbledore would call them back. Both had been powerful with wands. Sirius looked up as Ripper saw him. One minute he was standing looking at the group, the next he was flat on his ass on the floor of the platform. He saw Harry jump forward but called him back. He should have expected that of The Ripper. The Ripper who had kicked the crap out of him The Muggle Way for what he'd done to Ethan.
There had been a consequence of his mispronounced Spell. Ethan had become Chaotic. And Ripper had apparently never forgiven him for it.
