Giles' Estate, three hours later:

"Should someone go in and try to talk to him?" Joyce Summers asked. Ethan shook his head no.

"Ripper needs time to work through this rage Mrs. Summers. He's very angry right now. This Wesley must be important to him."

"He's important to all of us," Dawn said from behind Ethan. "Wesley is special. All the hell the council puts its trainees through and he was still a decent man."

"Is still a decent man, little one," Angelus said to Dawn as he walked through the room. "And we're going to get him as soon as Ripper comes out so we can go."

Ethan nodded softly as he prepared a spell to get them into the Compound. Angel and Spike they had to invite in and they needed at least one of them to be in already.

Giles came out of the study a moment later armed with a gun, a crossbow, several knives and other things no one wanted to know about. He looked at Ethan who nodded. He ahd everything ready.

"Let's go," Ripper said. Everyone followed him out the door and into the night. The drive to the Council compound was silent as everyone thought about things. Mainly they thought on the plan. Go in, get Wesley, and get out. Simple enough and with an added "Take as many of them as you can out" bonus. Everyone looked forward to that. When they arrived Giles looked to Ethan who transported Joyce in. Joyce opened the door and looked at them.

"Come in Angelus, Spike," she said. Everyone followed her into the house and Giles looked at the vampires. He needed them to find Wesley.

"Got his scent?" Ripper asked. Angelus nodded and took off through the house. He found his way down to the dungeon where Wesley's cell was. He would get Wesley while the others were being a diversion. When he found the door to the cell and heard the screams of pain coming from it, he snapped and ripped the door off its hinges. There was a man standing over a thin, beaten form that Angelus knew by scent was Wesley. Angelus reacted on pure instinct. He jumped at the man, tearing his throat out and draining his blood to nothing. Then he turned his attention to the young Ex-Watcher and froze. Had he needed to breathe, he certainly would have choked. Wesley lay, curled in a ball, naked and bleeding. He looked as if he'd been horse whipped and Angelus already knew about the rape. He'd smelled that on the man the other night.

"Oh, Christ," Angelus whispered as he shrugged out of his long, leather coat and gently wrapped the broken body in it. "Oh, sweet Christ above. Hold on Wesley. Just hold on. Everything is going to be fine. I swear."

Wesley moaned and whimpered feeling the touch and Angelus did the only thing he could; he began to purr as he lifted the badly beaten man as gently as he could. He carried him then up the stairs to where the others were taking apart the men and women still at the Council compound this late at night. Giles froze when he saw Angelus carrying Wesley and then signaled the retreat. He would take his Justice on the Council when Wesley was well enough to stand with them. For now, Wesley needed medical attention and that mattered more than Vengeance.

"This way," Ripper called to the dark, enraged vampire. Angelus nodded and they left the house returning to the Giles Estate where Arthur had a doctor he trusted waiting. The doctor treated Wesley's injuries and Arthur explained the no hospital thing by saying Wesley had been a political prisoner who had been tortured and they couldn't allow him to be anyplace he could be taken again. The doctor ahd agreed and said he would be back to see Wesley in the morning but for tonight the young man needed to rest.

While all that was happening, Ripper Giles was preparing his Justice. There would be blood for this. What ahd been done to Wesley was like the Fast Paced Course of what they'd done to His Ethan years ago. It would not be allowed to go unpunished again. So said he. So said The Ripper.
