Green.
Such a simple color. A color with many shades and
variations.
The hard emerald when he was angry. She’d first seen
that color when he was Ripper.
The soothing aquamarine when he first told her, “I
love you, Buffy.” She’d wept with joy that day.
The cool jade when he made love to her. His eyes
captured her soul that first time.
The sparkling forest when he laughed. Something that
happened more often now that she was in his life.
But always green.
Always hers. Only hers. Forever hers.
Such a simple color.
The color of Giles’ eyes.
Green.
