AN: Somewhat inspired by writing prompts at
allthejellies, had the poem for a while, wanted to use
it. Wonder if I should expand on this or leave as is.

He had said those words to her on their wedding day. He had thought he knew what joy was then. Fate had shown him otherwise.
As Rupert Giles entered the bedroom he was overcome once more. The light from the window spilled over them, making them both more beautiful. His wife, Buffy and their son, Edward Randall. Giles was living his dream. As he moved to the bed, Buffy stirred. She opened her eyes and looked at him, her gaze filled with love. She smiled at him and he was a goner.
Giles truly knew what joy meant now.
