Giles turned off the light and closed his eyes. He needed some quality sleep. It had been a long year, but now Adam was gone, so he had hope that things between him and Buffy would get back to normal.
It was late, way past the witching hour. They had all fallen asleep while watching movies at Buffy’s house, and they had all been disturbed by nightmares. It was due to the first Slayer. They had channeled her to destroy Adam, and Giles figured she was angry about it. There was always a price when magic was used. The dreams had been a part of that, and now his exhaustion was a part of it too. Thankfully, the magic had passed.
Giles was fast asleep when the thunderstorm started. The windows shook, and lightning forked in the sky, enlightening the town. Still, his sleep was so deep, he failed to notice.
Buffy hated thunderstorms, and she was already jumpy from the nightmares earlier. After the gang had left for the night she had decided to go on a quick patrol. She was still restless and was not in the mood to even try sleeping. Buffy didn’t know if it was the magic residue, or just normal slayer zing, but she was energized after the failed movie night. She was canvassing one of the many cemeteries when the thunderstorm struck.
“Oh, crap!” She wasn’t exactly dressed for this kind of weather. Her white blouse clung to her, the black jeans she wore chaffing to her skin, and her black boots sloshed in the instant puddles. This was California, and this thunderstorm came out of nowhere.
She made a run for it to the closest haven she could think of, Giles’s house. Thankfully, as per usual, his door was unlocked. She ran inside and flicked on the living room’s light. Buffy grimaced as she caught her reflection in the mirror. “Ugh, what a mess.” Her blonde locks hung down, dripping with the rain water. Her mascara was smeared, running rivulets down her cheeks. She hugged herself as she ran into the bathroom and grabbed a towel, trying to dry herself as best she could.
Buffy always kept a change of clothing at Giles’s place. It saved her from explaining various blood stains, rips, tears, and other bodily fluids smeared on her clothes to her mother. So, after patrol, she’d often come here and report to Giles before changing and heading home. Tonight she was very grateful for the dry clothes.
She had just finished changing when she heard a noise in the other room. With the towel wrapped around her head she left the bathroom and smiled as she went into the living room. “Hey Giles, I just…” she frowned. “You aren’t Giles.”
“Sorry to disappoint you, pet.“ Spike gave her an appraising grin as he sized her up from toes to head. Buffy shook herself. “What are you doing here? Get out!”
Spike held his hands up in front of him. “Ho, now, It’s pouring cats and dogs out there. I just came in from the rain. I didn’t know you’d be here. What are you doing here anyway? Giving the old man a tumble?”
Before Buffy could give one of her patented retorts, Spike was tackled by a scantily clad Watcher.
Giles had awakened and heard the commotion coming from his living room. As he made his way down the stairs, oblivious to the other two in the room, he heard Spike’s snarky comment. How dare he insult Buffy in that way! Giles was also still hurting from the effects of Spike’s mind games in his plan with Adam. It didn’t take much to put Giles over the edge. He flew at the vampire in a rage, punching and kicking him as they fell and rolled on the floor.
Buffy was stunned. What had come over her Watcher? “Giles? Giles!” But there was no stopping him in his wrath against Spike.
“You’ve had this coming! Don’t ever talk to Buffy that way again. You need a good staking Spike!” Images of Spike and Buffy being “engaged” as they were during Willow’s spell covered his mind, causing him to increase the pace of his punches.
Spike’s arms were pinned behind him on the floor when he had been tackled. Giles weight was heavy on his chest and the Watcher’s blows fell unblocked. The vampire was in serious trouble.
Buffy finally decided she should intervene. She reached down and grabbed Giles from behind, carefully trying to avoid his flying fists. “Giles, you must stop, Giles!”
As her fingers touched him, he came out of his rage. He heard her calling to him, and he looked down on the battered vampire. What had he done? He allowed Buffy to pull him off of Spike.
Buffy kept her arms around Giles as she nodded down at Spike. “Leave. Now.” Spike painfully crawled to his feet and limped out the door without a backward glance.
Buffy helped Giles over to the sofa. He sank down and hid his face in his hands, his head bowed. He didn’t even notice that all he wore were his white boxers and t-shirt.
Buffy ran into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. Thunder shook the entire house as she held the glass out for Giles to drink. “Here, Watcher mine.” She smiled gently at him when his eyes finally met hers.
“What was that all about?” Buffy watched the muscles in his throat work as he drank the water. Butterflies circled in her stomach, and she felt a heat rush to her mid section. It wasn’t the first time Giles had stirred those feelings inside of her, and it was beginning to be more difficult for her to hide them. She found her fingers itching to run through the fine hairs at the nape of his neck. Instead she grasped the now empty glass as he handed it to her and sunk back into the cushions of the sofa.
“I’m not sure, Buffy. I guess…I think I just snapped, seeing him standing there taunting you, after everything you’ve been through lately. He wanted to hurt you, and I just couldn’t stand it anymore.”
Buffy sat beside him on the couch and leaned against his strong side. “He wanted to hurt all of us.”
Giles sighed and wrapped his arm around her. It seemed so natural. Lightning flickered again, enveloping the room in an orange glow. Buffy jumped and Giles squeezed her shoulder.
“Got caught in that storm while on patrol. That’s why I came here. I didn’t mean to wake you up.”
Giles chuckled low in his throat. “Quite alright, Buffy.” He wasn’t wearing his glasses and Buffy liked how his face looked so relaxed and younger looking. She reached up and ran her thumb down his cheek.
He was surprised, and stiffened slightly, but he didn’t want to startle her. He burned from her touch. “Buffy?” He slowly turned to look at her. Her eyes were burning with what looked like desire. For him?
“What did you dream about, Giles?”
He knew she was talking about earlier, when they had all been hunted by the first slayer. He remembered his dream vividly. Buffy had been his entire focus, even in the dreams. He gave up everything for her. He always had, and he always would.
Her hand still rested against his face. He reached up and took it in his own hands, holding it to his soft lips. He gave her fingertips a gentle kiss. “You, Buffy. I always dream of you.”
She scooted closer to him and threw her leg over his lap to straddle him. He grunted but pulled her closer with his free arm, the other still holding her hand to his mouth. He suckled each fingertip, tasting and reveling in her.
“This isn’t the spell, Giles. I’ve wanted you for so long. Please…ever since that bitch Olivia was wearing your shirt. Don’t you know, you’re mine, Watcher mine?” He released her hand and crushed his mouth against hers. Her lips parted inviting him access, and soon their tongues were dueling and mating. He moaned her name and ran his hands up her back, underneath the dry tank top she was now wearing.
Buffy rocked against Giles. She could feel every inch of him inside his cotton boxers. They didn’t leave much to the imagination. At her contact, Giles broke the kiss and crushed her chest against his, holding her tightly. “Christ.” He groaned.
Buffy giggled in his ear. “That’s a good reaction, right?”
Giles pulled her head back down so he could look at her. His green eyes were dark with want and desire. “Buffy, I’ve wanted you for so long. I love you, Buffy.”
He wasn’t sure what he expected her to say, but it wasn’t this: “I know. And I love you to, Giles. Sorry it’s taken me so long to act but…I’ve been kind of busy, you know. Adam and all that.”
“And what about, Riley?” He hated to bring the soldier boy up, but he needed to be sure.
Buffy shrugged. “Riley is a convenience. I need to break it off. I just never thought you and I had a chance, especially after I saw Olivia with you.”
Giles swore under his breath and captured Buffy’s mouth in another searing kiss. They would have to talk later, but for now, he just wanted to feel. He had been dreaming of her touch for so long. Slowly his hands ran down to the bottom of her tank top, and with her encouragement, he lifted it off of her head. Lightning again flashed, illuminating Buffy’s skin, her pale breasts captured in his darker hands. He ran his thumbs over the hard nipples, causing Buffy to squirm on his lap. He bucked up, involuntarily reacting to her movements.
“Now, Giles, I need you now!”
Giles stood up, Buffy still splayed across his chest. He carried her up the stairs, their mouths still fused together. When he reached the loft he gently deposited her on the bed. Without breaking eye contact, he removed his own shirt and boxers. Buffy grinned as she appraised him. “My my, where have you been hiding that, Mr. Giles?” He smiled sheepishly and crawled up the bed to cover her body with his own. “I was waiting for the right time.” He gently kissed her forehead, then each eye, and her nose, softly pressing his lips against her own, but not deepening the kiss, before moving down to kiss between the valley of her breasts. Buffy gripped the sheets in her hands as Giles moved lower to nuzzle her belly button before resting at the juncture of her legs.
The light gray shorts she was wearing after changing out of her wet black jeans did not stay on much longer. Giles pulled them down with his teeth, causing fits of giggles from Buffy. Never had she been made love to in such a fun way. Usually it was hot and heavy, getting down to business. But Giles was taking his time and having fun with her. As he flung her shorts off the bed behind them, she laughed harder. He waggled his eyebrows at her. “Are you laughing at me, Miss Summers?”
The merriment shown on her face and Giles was pleased. He didn’t see Buffy laugh very often, and it warmed his heart. She just laughed harder at his antics, unable to answer his question. He knew how to change her laughter into panting, however, and soon his tongue went to work doing just that.
“Oh, God, Giiiiiiiillles.” She screamed as she came, her body writhing on the bed. He licked and suckled her slowly as she came down, never removing his mouth from her. When she stilled he crawled back up her body, now wet with sweat, to place a chaste kiss on her forehead. Her eyes were closed, still coming down from the tidal wave of emotions both physically and mind blowing that Giles had just produced within her.
She felt his hardness along her thigh. She was sated, but he was not. Buffy was concerned about this. “Giles, you still need a release.”
He just shook his head, however, lying upon her breasts. “You are what matters to me, Buffy. Always. I’ll be fine.”
She smiled fondly and then reached out with her hand to encircle him. He moaned and bucked. “But I want to, Giles.” She ran her hand up and down his engorged staff, pulling him towards her entrance. “I want to feel you inside of me, Giles. Please, complete me.”
He could never refuse her anything. He lifted his head and placed his forehead against her own and raised himself up before slowly entering her. He felt her shudder in pleasure beneath him, and when he felt she was ready, he began to move within her, thrusting in and out.
Buffy wrapped her arms around Giles, pulling him in even closer if possible. She wanted him to become her, to be under her skin forever. She was him and he was her. They were one like never before.
Giles held out as long as he could, and it didn’t take Buffy long because she was still fresh off of her first orgasm. When he felt her begin to spasm and contract all around him, he let go with his own, his seed pouring into her. “Buffyyyyy” he cried, tears falling from his eyes at the same moment. They rocked together, her arms tightly around him, and his hands in her hair and along her face. Their legs were entwined and writhing together. As the thunder and lightning clamored outside, Buffy and Giles slowly succumbed into a blissful and sated sleep.
Buffy awoke the next morning to see Giles lying beside her, looking at her anxiously. He was freshly showered and had laid down beside her to watch her sleep. She smiled at him and rubbed her nose against his. “Good morning.”
He relaxed and smiled in return, capturing her lips in his own. “Indeed, it is a glorious morning.” Buffy smiled at the glint in his eyes and ran her hands down his chest, playing with the curly hair that was low on his stomach. He smiled and rolled over, wrapping his arms around her to hold her against him. She lay on top of him now.
“What are your plans for the day?” He wriggled beneath her as her feather-like touches tickled him. She quirked an eyebrow at his amusement and lowered herself down his stomach, placing a soft kiss where his stomach curls ended and his shaft began.
“Oh, I don’t know.” Her warm breath on his member caused it to harden even more. “For now, I’ll settle with this.” Without another moment’s hesitation he found himself inside her hot and wet mouth. She ran her tongue over the head and slit of his penis, before engulfing it completely. He groaned and almost came off the bed in the ecstasy that she brought in him. He placed a hand on either side of her head, his head pressed back into the pillow, his eyes tightly shut as he was lost in all the sensations her tongue brought to him. “Buffy, I’m going to come!” He wanted to warn her so she was prepared. To his surprise, she sucked harder, and took him all in. When he was done, she licked him clean and wiped her mouth before settling to rest on his stomach. “Glorious morning is right.”
Giles breathing relaxed. He ran his hands down Buffy’s hair and back, soothing her. “Wow.” She giggled at his exclamation. She tipped her face up at him, her chin resting just below his navel. “So, Watcher mine, what are your plans today?”
He gave her a wicked little grin. “I was hoping to spend it with you.” Buffy grinned and wriggled causing him to inhale sharply. “Out of bed, Buffy.” She gave him her fake pout and he laughed. “Buffy, come on. I promise you that you’ll love it. Why don’t you run home and change into some warm clothes. The thunderstorm has passed and I fancy sometime outside. Just you and me. Meet me back here in an hour and I’ll take you out for a picnic breakfast?”
She whooped and leapt off of the bed. “I’ll never say no to breakfast, Giles.” She grinned back at him and gathered up her clothes. “Where’s my shirt? Oh, yeah,” she blushed. “Downstairs.”
He blushed too but gestured toward his closet. “Take one of mine.” She gave him a bright smile that warmed his already engorged heart and picked out a button down light blue oxford shirt. She also put on her black jeans from last night that were now dry.
“Buffy, you look ravishing.” He got up off the bed and pulled her in for another breathless kiss. He smiled as he released her. “Go, before I change my mind about not keeping you in bed.”
She giggled and pecked him on the cheek before turning with a little wave and leaving his apartment.
Buffy snuck into her house and took a quick shower. She couldn’t erase the smile from her face. When she got out to change, she put Giles’s shirt back on, tucking the long tails into some clean blue jeans and rolling up the sleeves to her elbows. She completed the outfit with her black boots, and placed her hair in a pony tail. As she took one last look at her reflection in the mirror, even she noticed how she glowed. Love did that to you.
Her mom was already out at the gallery, but Buffy left her a quick note on the kitchen table explaining that she was training all day with Giles. Training. She giggled as she scribbled out the note. That word now had a brand new twist.
When she walked into the courtyard of Giles’s condo, she was shocked to find a motorcycle parked out front of his door. Her shock continued when he sauntered out wearing tight blue jeans, black leather boots, and a skin tight black t-shirt. Buffy’s mouth dropped open and a slight trail of drool ran from the corner of her mouth.
Giles noticed her and jumped, startled. “Buffy, I didn’t see you there. Buffy?” At first he was alarmed by her expression, but then he relaxed and smiled. He reached out and wiped the drool from her face.
“Giles, you look…and that motorcycle…and you?” She was basically incoherent. He put his head back and laughed. She smiled at him. She had never heard him laugh like that before. “I like when you laugh like that Giles. For now on, it’s my number one goal to get you to laugh like that at least once a day. Deal?”
He chuckled and nodded. “Deal.” Then he pulled her in for a kiss, not caring that they were in the middle of his condo’s courtyard and anyone could see.
“So, what’s with the bike?” Buffy asked once he had released her.
“Ah, that. I got it out of storage, and I thought perhaps we’d go for a ride up into the woods. I already packed it with some fruit, juice, and pastries.”
Buffy grinned. “You mean I get to ride on the back, holding tightly around your waist, while the roar of the wind is all around us?”
Giles blushed and stammered. “Yes…uh…well, something like that, luv.”
Buffy smiled. He was too cute when he blushed like that. Also? He’d called her luv. She clapped her hands. “Well then, what are we waiting for?” He grinned and passed her one of the helmets. She put it on and clipped the chin strap in place. It was snug, but not unbearable. Giles put on his matching blue helmet and his aviator sunglasses. He sat on the bike and instructed her to sit behind him. His heart gave a little leap as her small arms circled his waist and held to him tightly. He momentarily closed his eyes and inhaled deeply to savor the moment. Then he grinned and gunned the engine. They never noticed all the neighbors eyes turn and stare at the couple as they sped down the rode heading for the hills.
Buffy loved the ride. The thrumming of the bike all around her, vibrating her very soul, the rush of her blood as Giles took the bike into a tight corner, the drumming of her heartbeat in her chest, and the roaring of the wind. She wore a perpetual smile the entire time.
Giles was no different. It had been some time since he’d last driven the motorcycle, but having Buffy’s arms around him holding him close was a thrill he never thought to experience. He was almost sorry when they came to the wooden area he had planned to have as their picnic destination.
He slowed the bike down and parked it under a huge Redwood. He helped Buffy off the bike and then undid her chin strap so she could pull off the helmet. She undid her pony tail and let her hair fall freely down her back. Giles took off his own helmet as well and placed one on each handlebar. He quickly pulled off his boots and socks so he could feel the grass beneath his feet, and gave Buffy an amused smile as she did the same while she leaned against the motorcycle. Then, without further warning, he picked Buffy up by the waist and swung her around. She squealed like a little girl. “Giles!” They were both giggling when he set her down, covering her mouth with a kiss.
When his soft lips left hers, Buffy smiled. “Are you hungry?”
His eyes shone into hers and he nodded. “Yes, I’m hungry, but not for food.” He tipped her chin back so he could look deeply into her eyes. “Buffy, you have no idea how much I love you.”
She smiled and shook her head. “Oh yes Giles, I do. Because I love you just as much.”
“Well, luv, if it’s even half as much as I love you, then I’m the luckiest man in all the world.” He bent to kiss her again, his mouth devouring hers. His tongue tasted every nook and cranny, exploring her mouth as if he were a man dying of thirst and she was a never ending well of spring water. Slowly he lowered her down to the ground, being careful to place her gently on the grass. But she would have none of his gentleness, growling low in her throat and thrusting up against him.
“Mmmph…Buffy.” His tongue traveled down her neck, nuzzling her at the top button of the shirt. “My shirt definitely looks better on you.” He reached up and undid the first button, placing a kiss at her exposed collarbone. Buffy sighed and ran her hands up and down his back, pulling at his t-shirt so she could place her hands underneath the cotton to splay against his bare back.
Giles lifted himself up a bit and helped her remove his shirt so that she could have better access to his skin. He smiled down at her. “My turn.” Slowly he unbuttoned the shirt, exposing her lacey bra and stomach. Goosebumps speckled her as the cool morning air hit her skin, and she flushed with excitement and wanting. He straddled her waist, careful not to be too heavy with his weight upon her. This gave her the space to sit up and throw the shirt off. She wanted skin on skin. Enough with the clothing already.
Giles concurred and ran his hands up her arms and over her shoulders. He hooked a finger under each bra strap and pulled the garment down her arms, grazing her shoulders with kisses in place of the straps. While his tongue worked on her bare shoulders, he reached behind her and unlatched the hook, removing her bra completely. Buffy laid back down on the grass, but Giles still sat up so that he could look down on her.
“You are so beautiful, Buffy. Even more beautiful than I imagined.” He ran his hands down her shoulders to cup her breasts, teasing the nipples. When they stood erect he took each nipple into his mouth in turn. Buffy gasped and moved beneath him as desire surged within her. “I love tasting you, Buffy. Suckling you.” Buffy was too caught up to reply, so instead she tried to show him by pressing her hands on his back, pushing him closer to her. He chuckled. “Easy now. I want to take my time with you.”
Once he lathed each breast to his satisfaction, he moved to the valley between her breasts, running his hot tongue down towards her belly button. He dipped inside, causing her to moan and writhe. He grinned.
“Giles, please…”
“Please what, luv?”
She answered with an incoherent moan. He looked up at her glorious face. Her eyes were tightly closed, savoring each moment of his touch. She was flushed and a thin sheen of sweat coated her brow. Her golden hair was spread beneath her, fanned out like a wild flame. His heart almost stopped then. He couldn’t believe it was she that lay beneath him. He reached down and undid her jeans, pulling them off quickly, along with her underwear. As she grabbed at his jeans he shook his head and placed his hands over hers, holding them down beside her. He now lay fully on top of her, pinning her arms down, holding her hands tightly in his own. His mouth devoured hers again in an endless kiss. He felt her hard nipples against his chest.
“Ah, soon now Buffy, it will be soon.” He was so hard that he ached. He released her hands and let her undue his jeans. He had to help her coax them down his long legs, along with his boxers.
They were both now drenched in sweat. He put the fingers of his right hand inside her. She was wet and ready, so he wasted no time in sliding inside of her. When he was fully sheathed within her he stopped, motionless. He looked down at her, and their eyes met.
“I love you, Giles.” He smiled and began to slowly move within her.
“I know you do.” It’s what she needed to hear. She knew he loved her. He always had. For her to say it to him, however, and mean it beyond anything else, was huge, and they both knew it. Neither had ever been good at sharing their feelings, especially in word. Deed, however, was another matter. Now they displayed this passion in their love making.
Giles increased his pace and rocked inside of her, faster and faster. They both were breathing rapidly, moaning and calling each other’s names. Buffy clutched at his lower waist right as he felt the sensation of gathering below his spine. He was almost there. Yet, he waited. He wanted to feel her spasm beneath him first.
Buffy cried out, rocking her head back and forth and digging her nails into his back. She was coming so hard. Never had making love been so powerful to her before, so strong. She realized now that it was because she was making love, and not just having sex. Giles was her true partner in every way. He completed her. She felt that tightening in her core, and her leg muscles gathered and bunched. Then, from deep inside of her, a dam broke, and with a shuddering scream Buffy shook all around Giles. He grunted once and then he too throbbed from deep inside of her, spilling his seed in a long spurt. He clutched his arms around her and held her tightly as they both came down from the precipice of love.
The sun warmed their naked bodies as they dozed entwined together.
It was a long while before they sated their hunger.
It was an even longer while before they actually ate food.
