Author’s Notes:  Watching season 4 on DVD and feeling happy to see Giles get some.  (May 2004)

Drowsy, replete, he runs a hand over the stubble of his morning beard and considers his reflection.  Graying chest hair, hint of a paunch.  Might start working out a bit more.  Graying elsewhere, too... but no need to go there, not today.  It’s been good to have a woman in his bed again, to bury himself in the peace of that welcoming softness.  It’s been such a long time.  She’s not Jenny; still, friendship can make for comfortable bedmates.  The bathroom smells of her lotions, perfume, mysterious essence of woman.  Smiling, he lathers his face and reaches for his razor.
