Giles and Buffy were having a very good day. Their friends, which now included Kendra and Faith, a Potential who was assigned to Giles until her new watcher arrives had

given them a Watcher/Slayer bonding day. To save Buffy's reputation, Giles put a spell on all the town so no one would remember seeing them together the next day. They shared a worry-free walk in the park, talking and teasing each other the whole time,They browsed the quaint shops of downtown Sunnydale,and even saw a movie together.  Afterward, they went Giles' place for dinner.

Giles started to whip up a quick stir fry dish when there was a knock of the door. Answering the door, he saw a bag from the House of the Dragon Chinese restaurant waiting for him with a note stuck to it saying, "turn on 90.4 on the radio"; recognizing Xander's handwriting, Giles showed the bag to Buffy.

"It seems our friends saw fit to send us dinner" he said, smiling . Buffy eyes widened in surprise, I love Chinese, how very cool of them. As she unpacked the food, Giles turned on 90.4.

"Welcome to KAOS" said a voice both Giles and Buffy instantly knew, "I'm Ethan Rayne, your DJ and host of this very special dedication show. If nothing else is getting through, maybe a song will do.

Giles grimaced, "Has radio no standards". He reached to turn off the radio, but stopped when he heard the first caller.

"Hey, I'm Faith, and I wanna dedicate a couple of songs to a guy who is majorly devoted to a girl who seems to only want guys with no life in them. I want let he know

some of us aren't blind, so please play Good Girls Don't and Dust on the Bottle."

Giles grinned, blushing slightly at the implications of the songs Faith chose, Buffy, however, was not amused.  "Wait till we have training together" she growled menacingly.

 The songs ended, and Ethan spoke again, "You know Faith's request made me think of an old friend who has a pretty young woman at his disposal,and he won't shag her because he thinks he's to old for her".  Ethan chuckled, I say if she's legal, have at her, and I punctuate my meaning with the Toby Keith songs Who's Your Daddy and Good As I Once Was.

Giles fumed, trust Ethan to be so base and filthy about his love for his charge,a love that was far beyond lust. Buffy was torn between wanting to defend her watcher's honor and amusement at Ethan 's choices.  She looked her watcher's face and knew he wanted to hurt Ethen for what he saw as insulting her.  Truth be told, she always thought he was sexy in knight mode.

Next, they heard Willow's voice, "I want to dedicate a song to a friend who thinks she can't act on her feelings for a man because he's mentor and she think he still see her as a child. I've seen them together, I think he wants to teach her something new".

"You play multiple genres, Do you have Teach Me Tonight?"

This time Buffy blushed, suprised that Willow had it in her to pick such a sensual, yet classy song.  "I wonder who she's talking about" she said, unable to meet his eyes.

Giles quirked an eyebrow smiled slightly,"Who indeed"

Xander called next, Hey, My name's Xander, I'd like to dedicate a song that always make me think of a man I greatly admire. I think it fits his feelings for another close friend of mine to a tee.  Please  play You'll Be In My Heart.

Gile's eye's teared up at Xander's insightful choice. He too had loved that song from the first time he heard it because it so mirrored his feelings toward his slayer.

The last caller's voice was distinctly Caribbean, I'm Kendra, and everyday I witness the depth of love and devotion between two people I know, a guardian and his charge.

The guardian has sacrificed much for her, though she seems unappreciative.

She has duties, but he gives her more personal freedom than most in his position out of love. She's goes for pretty, but lifeless men who she knows it won't work with instead of studying her love for him.  The song All That I am describes him well.

Play that please.

Buffy listened to the song. When she heard the lines" I breathe so you'll breathe, let me stand for you." she wept. Giles did love and live for her, and she knew she loved him too, though she was'nt sure she was in love with him.

Still crying, she threw her arms around his neck, "I do love you, Giles, It may not be romantic love, but if you'll wait I'd like to find out."

Shocked, Giles sat silently for a moment, then jumped and ran to his bedroom.

He returned with his guitar. When he started to sing She Will Be Loved, she had her answer.
