Luv in a Chatroom 5

This is the final part of this series. It was a long time coming and a lot of hard work on my part and my beta's. We had a lot of differences of opinions me being the strong willed one always came out on top. I want to thank everyone for their feedback and support while this story was in progress. Hopefully this will be the ending everyone would like.

Giles woke up in a state of confusion; he was in a bed with a woman. It took him a few minutes to realize that he was in Buffy's room. The strawberry-vanilla sent gave it away; he smiled as he watched her sleeping. He look around for a clock to see what time it was, he found one on her nightstand it was 6:15. He had a little over an hour to get ready for his meeting tonight. After spending all that time making love to Buffy, he couldn't wait to make her his. Buffy's moving brought him out of his thoughts. 'How long were we asleep?' she asked sleepily. He looked at the clock again, 'It is 6:15 in the evening.' He replied. Buffy frowned at the time, 'I can't believe it is that late already.' Giles sat there for a minute, 'Buffy we need to talk about what just happened.' She smiled, 'Yeah I think it is time for us to talk.'

Sitting up further in the bed she turned to him, 'Before you even think about asking, I don't regret anything that we did this afternoon.' Giles smiled at her silkily, 'I don't regret what we did either, but you are meeting a potential boyfriend tonight, and I a girlfriend.' She thought for a minute, 'You are right, but I don't feel guilty.' Off his look she continued. 'If we meet and can't stand each other I will have you.' Giles grew pensive trying to make her see the severity of the situation, 'What if you do hit it off, and get married, then what becomes of us?' She hadn't thought about that she didn't know how to respond. What he said made complete sense. <What if we did get along and got married, where would that leave Giles?>. 'We will still remain friends, nothing is ever going to change the way I feel about you.' She replied hastily. Giles tried to see where she was coming from but couldn't follow, 'What about me, am I supposed to just sweep the way I feel about you under the rug? That is not going to happen again.' He calmed down for a moment, 'If you two get along well, and end up together, I will be the bigger man and let you go. That's how much I love you', he said.

Buffy thought that was the nicest thing that someone ever said to her. She thought about the questions Giles asked and directed them right back to him. Giles already had his answers on hand, they were similar to hers. She got upset and went on the world's longest rant. 'Giles I have loved you for the longest time, and the chance that I may lose you to someone else tears up my heart. I may not be able to let go as easily as you think I would. You saw how I was after Angel left. Losing you would be like losing myself. And if you have a meaningful relationship I will be glad to let you do that. But remember I will always love you! No matter how I have you!!!' She got out of the bed and stomped to the bathroom.

This is not how he imagined that this would go. He thought that they could talk through this. He knew that she was the one he was meeting, but couldn't let her know. It was tearing him apart on the inside to put her through this. He got out of bed, and found his clothes, and a piece of paper he left her a note. He knocked on the bathroom door and told her he was leaving. She came out of the bathroom in a bathrobe eyes red and puffy like she had been crying. 'I don't want to leave things like they are. I love you and don't you forget that.' 'And I you, my darling girl.' He walked out of the door. She stood there for a minute after it closed, 'Why does it have to be so complicated?' she asked no one in particular.

Giles stared at the closed door, she really loved him. With his mind made up, he was going to make Buffy his before the end of the night. He walked out the building and got a taxi. Tonight will be a night neither one of them will forget. In her room Buffy saw the letter that Giles left her:

Dearest Buffy,
I hate the fact that we argued after sharing such a glorious afternoon together. I had to make you see what this was doing to me. You are meeting someone else who isn't obviously me. I hope you have a good time tonight. Remember I am here for you no matter what.

With Luv,
Giles

Buffy put the letter down, she was determined to have a good time tonight, regardless of how sucky she felt. With that she went and got in the shower, looking at the clock she realized she had less than 45 minutes to get ready. She hopped into the shower, she thought about all of the things Giles did to her body how he made it do things she thought wasn't possible. Shaking that thought from her mind she finished up her shower.

Giles was in his hotel room freshly showered and shaved. He thought about to the afternoon he and Buffy shared. It was the best time he had had in a while; he wanted to make sure they have more like it. He picked out what he was going to wear tonight and put it on. After all he had to make sure he looked debonair as Buffy called him. He gave himself the once over in the mirror and proceeded to leave his room. He stopped by the florist and picked up a bouquet of daisies and chocolate. (You could never go wrong with chocolate.).

Buffy sat at her mirror applying her make-up, not too much and not too little. Appearances mean everything her mom would always say. This is one of the times she needed her. Things were so complicated, and going to hell in a hand basket fast. She got up and went to her dress that she was to wear tonight it was red with spaghetti straps, and a low back. It was all about sexy tonight, and she was going to be just that. She looked at herself in the mirror to make sure she looked alright. With that she grabbed her little red purse and left her apartment.

The Trevi fountain was not so busy on this night save for a few couples enjoying the night. Buffy was looking at the magnificent artwork and sculptures, no matter how many times she saw it she was fascinated. She looked inside of her purse for some money to throw in. They say if you make a wish it will come true. She didn't really believe in wishes no more, they never came true. Life on the Hellmouth has proven that time and time again. She threw it in and made a wish, so caught up she never heard anyone approach.

Giles saw her as she arrived at the fountain; he arrived early to catch a glimpse of her. She looked so beautiful in her red dress. It accented her sun kissed skin and her golden blonde hair. He saw a young man walking by, he asked him to approach the lady in the red dress to get her attention. He gave him a couple of dollars and he watched as he did what was requested. The guy went up to her and tapped her shoulder, 'Excusi Signora, are you SexKitten69?' He startled her for a minute, 'Yes, are you TenderlyRipped?' He looked sheepish and said, 'No I am not, but he is' he pointed in Giles direction. He was walking towards her.

Buffy was stunned her online friend had been Giles. She didn't know if she should be pissed or happy. He handed her the daises and gave her a kiss. Coming out of her daze, 'Giles it is you, you are my online friend?' He smiled, 'Yep that is me, before you ask I didn't want to ruin the surprise.' So are you surprised?' 'I truly am surprised and shocked but in a good way.' He took hold of her hand and they began to walk the length of the plaza. 'What are we going to do now?' Buffy asked curiously. 'I was thinking going to my hotel and ordering room service and then do stuff.' Wanting to know something, 'How did you know that it was me? I mean I didn't know it was you.' 'You were dropping hints left and right, but what got me was the sister visiting England because your best friend was visiting.' Once again me over talking too much. He hailed a taxi and it took them to the hotel.

The ride was made in relative silence. Each one caught up in their own thoughts of the night and each other. The taxi stopped in front of his hotel, he paid the man and helped Buffy get out of the car. Ever then gentleman he is. They made it to his room with no problems at all. He opened the door and let her in; after she entered he closed the door. He turned to her, 'Make yourself comfortable in the room while I order room service.' She took in the suite there was a sitting room, a bedroom off of the sitting room and a huge bathroom. A girl could get used to this she thought to herself. Finding the room she made herself comfortable on the bed.

Giles entered the room, 'I just called room service they should be here soon.' 'That sounds good. So what are we going to do now?' 'We should talk about what we are going to do now?' 'I knew that this was going to come up sooner or later.' Giles chuckled, 'Better now than later.' 'I think I would like to move to England with you. Dawn said she wanted to go to college there.' 'But Buffy what about your studio and the life you built here?', Giles countered. Buffy looked thoughtful, 'Well, Regina could take over for me, I could deal with the business end over the phone or come for whatever reason. I could always open up a martial arts studio in England.' Giles thought about it, 'That would be bloody wonderful my love!' He leaned in and kissed her, she wrapped her hands around his neck to get closer. She put all of her emotions into that kiss, to let him know he was it for her. He was kissing her neck and moving down her straps when there was a knock at the door. Giles swore, it was the room service chap. 'Stay right here beautiful.'

He went to let the guy in, 'Here's your food sir. Where would you like it?', he asked. 'Just leave it right here, thanks'. He handed the man a tip and closed the door, he called for Buffy. 'Something smells so good, I could eat a horse.' Giles removed the lids, underneath was some pasta primavera, a Caesar salad, garlic bread, a bottle of wine and for dessert some tiramisu. 'Giles, I love tiramisu especially chocolate. How did you know?' He smiled, 'There isn't a lot I don't know about you.' He served up the plates and they dug in. They ate in silence with the occasional conversation here or there, enjoying the food and the company.

They put the dishes aside, Giles went to go put a CD in the CD player. The first strands of the song started, Buffy recognized it. Dawn had this one it was Mariah Carey's new one the 'Emancipation of Mimi' 'We belong together', how appropriate Buffy thought. He offered his hand to her, and much like today she wordlessly she took it. They started dancing like it was the most natural thing in the world. Her mind started to drift to prom, how she should've dance with Giles instead of that prick Angel. It may have turned out a lot differently. She loved Angel, but not that til death do us part kind of love, no that belonged to Giles. She laid her head on his shoulder as they moved. He dropped a kiss to her head.

He thought to himself he should have danced with her at the prom, Angel be damned, then again he already is there is no difference. He shook his head at the thought, he is dancing with her now. Hopefully he could dance with her forever, she looked at him intently and he brought his head down without speaking they kissed. There seems to be a lot of that happening whenever they dance. Buffy broke away after a minute for air, she looked in his eyes again. They were asking a silent question, Buffy in turn answered, 'Yes'. He led her too the bedroom, and proceeded to kiss and make love to her until the break of dawn. (Hey it is possible. This is my story so I can do anything I want).

They woke up the next morning in a tangle of limbs, neither of them cared. This is where they wanted to be. Each one gave a silent thank you to computers and the chatroom, because if it wasn't for it they would've never found each other. And boys and girls they lived happily ever after.
