Buffy left her dads office to pick up Danni from daycare. If it wasn't for her she would've just caved in and gave up after Angel died. She was the sole reminder of him, and she vowed to protect her at all costs. That's why she went into Hank's office the way she did. Her little girl's happiness meant more to her than her own. That is something she learned from her mother growing up. She arrived at the school, and went to her daughter's class, she was sitting there looking at a picture book when she looked up and saw her mom. "Mommie!" The little girl exclaimed and ran into her arms. The teacher gave Buffy her book bag and her behavior sheet. "Have a good day Ms. Summers." "See you tomorrow."
She walked Danni out to the car. "How was your day today?" she asked her daughter.
"It was good, we colored, and had circle time, and learned our ABC's." Buffy couldn't resist the smile on her daughters face. She looked so much like Angel except for the blonde hair. "Is grandpa coming to dinner tonight?" Danni wanting to know since he didn't show up Saturday night. "You know he is, he can't miss out on dinner with his favorite girls." She strapped her into the car, "so what do you want for dinner tonight?" she asked the 3yr old. "I want spesketti.' She tried to say. "Spaghetti it is then." She smiled. "Can we go by his office and see him?" She wanted to know. "I just left his office", Buffy stated. "Besides grandpa is busy meeting with his new partner." Danni's smile faded a little. She liked going to grandpa's office he let's her sit at his desk and pretend she was boss.
Buffy's cell phone rung, "Buffy Summers speaking....... Hi daddy.... uh huh tonight..... no that is no problem..... yes I am sure. Someone here wants to talk to you" She handed Danni the phone. "Hi grandpa..... yeah I had a good day...... I made you a picture...... I see you later grandpa." She handed Buffy back the phone. "Grandpa says, "he and his partner will be there at 7."
Hank hung up the phone. "She has no problem with you coming to dinner tonight." Rupert looked at him, "Are you sure? I don't want to intrude really." Hank smiled at his politeness, "Nonsense it would give you a chance to know my daughter and my granddaughter." Rupert smiled, "I would love too." He got up and left, "get to know your daughter indeed" thought Rupert. He walked to his office thinking about dinner with Buffy and her daughter.
