(Bathroom)
Shock slammed through his body as he starred at her in disbelief. Buffy couldn't help the giggle that escaped her as she saw his expression when he moved and the light from the candle hit his face.
He was so adorable.
"K-Kiss you?"
"I know you like me the way I like you. Otherwise you have some explaining to do about that, um, problem you seem to be having in you pants."
Giles had NO idea what to think or say. Since when did she *like* him? Since when did she think about him kissing her?
"Giles?"
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel...I don't know. What are you feeling?"
"Many things, actually."
"So you ... never mind. Can you take me in bed? *To* bed." As soon as she said it, she wished she hadn't. Embarrassment filled her as she lifted her eyes to Giles. He was smiling at her as she lowered her head. "Where's a sinkhole when you need one?"
Chuckling, Giles slide a finger under her chin and made her look at him.
"I think both of us have said or done some things tonight that would qualify as ..."
"Stupid?"
"Enlightening."
"Yeah, no kidding."
"I never knew, until a moment ago, that you thought of me as anything but your watcher."
"Guess I hide my feeling well, huh?"
"I think we both do. A little too well."
"Yeah."
They stared at one another for a long moment before Buffy lifted her hand, and grimaced at her movement as she touched his cheek. Concern flooded Giles eyes as he watched her.
"I do though."
"Do what?" was his whispered question as he leaned into her touch and covered her hand with the one he held under her chin moments ago.
"Think of you as more."
Turning back to her, Giles smiled.
"As do I."
"Really?"
"Really."
She was grinning as he leaned forward and touched her lips to his. The kiss was gentle and ever so sweet. They tasted each other lovingly for several moments, till Dawn interrupted them.
"Buffy?!" Dawn called for her sister as she slammed the front door shut.
Sighing against Giles lips, Buffy tried to pull away from him but he refused to let her go. Instead he deepened the kiss.
"Buffy? Are you Home?"
They heard her coming upstairs as Giles keep the kiss going.
"Hmmm, Giles, Dawn's coming," she told him, his lips still teasing hers, tasting her, learning the feel and shape of her mouth.
Giles sighed, his breath washing over her as Buffy laid a hand to his cheek.
"Lock the door," she told him.
"Why?"
"Lock it, please."
Smiling at her, Giles dropped a kiss to her lips. "As you wish."
He stood and went to door just as Dawnie came into the room.
"Oh, hey Giles. You seen Buffy?"
"Uh...?"
Knowing her sister would wonder why Giles was there, Buffy called to her.
"In here, Dawn."
Walking into the bathroom, Dawn took a seat on the counter.
"There you are. We have to talk," Dawnie said, her voice holding a bit of suspicion as the younger Summers girl started to wonder why Giles was there with her sister in the bathroom.
"Okay."
"Are you all right? You look like hell."
"Thanks."
"Dawn, perhaps we could-" Giles was cut off before he could finish.
"And why are you here?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Buffy's naked and you're-"
"Dawn? What did you want?" Buffy interrupted her.
Dawn looked back and forth between Giles and Buffy then smiled. It was about time they started talking.
"Oh, um, nothing really. Except can I stay at Marcy's tonight?"
"Is it ok with her mom?"
"Yeah, totally."
Giles leaned against the door frame, watching Dawn as Buffy answered her sister. The girl was fidgeting and nervously darting her eyes from him to Buffy.
"Okay. There're snacks in the cabinet you can take," Buffy told her.
"Cool!"
"Dawn?"
"Yeah?" Dawn looked at Giles.
"Would you mind if I called Marcy's mother?"
"Why?"
"No reason. I just wanted to make sure she had enough food for you lot."
"She does."
"Well, perhaps I should just make sure-"
"There's nothing to make sure, Giles. I all ready talked with Marcy."
Buffy was wondering why Giles was grilling her sister in his calm *British* way. A way she was *very* familiar with in her earlier days with him.
"All right. Then you won't mind if I call her and -"
"Oh all right! Fine! I wasn't going to Marcy's."
Buffy looked at Dawn, her eyes wide.
"Excuse me?"
"Well, if I would have said where I was really going, you would have said no!"
"And where is that?" Giles asked.
"To a party."
Buffy looked at Giles then her eyes went back to her sister.
"Who's throwing the party?" Buffy asked as Dawn glared at Giles.
"Just cause Buffy use to lie to you about going to places and almost ended up getting eating by a big demon snake, doesn't mean-"
"DAWN!"
The younger girl looked at Buffy.
"Fine. Kevin."
"Kevin? Do we know a Kevin?" Buffy asked Giles as he thought for a moment.
"Is he the lad that asked you out for spring -"
"Yes. See, you two know him-"
"Absolutely not!" Giles said firmly as he straightened his stance.
"What? Why not?!"
Buffy was trying not to fall asleep. She so tired from her battle...and she knew Giles was there and he would handle Dawn.
"Because I bloody well met him, that's why not."
"What's that suppose to mean?!"
"It means I know what kind of young man he is."
"Buffy?!" Dawn turned to her sister for help but Buffy was snoring lightly.
"Dawn, come on, lets discuss this downstairs."
"No! Giles, I want-"
"Dawn."
She never heard him growl before. "Fine."
Stalking past him, Dawn went downstairs as Giles grabbed a towel and went to Buffy.
"Buffy?"
"Hmm?"
"I think we should get you out here before you drown."
He had a smile grin on his lips when she stuck her tongue out at him.
"I don't want to move," she whined, as Giles smiled at her.
"Promise me you'll be ok until I can settle this with Dawn?"
"Let her go, Giles. I know who he is, and while you have a point, he wouldn't hurt her. Although I should go down there and take care of it but-"
Giles laid a finger to her lips.
"It's all right. You've been through hell tonight. I can handle this one."
Opening her eyes, Buffy looked at her watcher.
"I should be handling it though."
"You're hurt, I understand."
"Really?"
"Of course. It's not like you asked me to do it. I'm volunteering."
He saw a change in her as she told him.
"No, I can do it."
She looked scared for a moment as she started to sit up. He stopped her with a gentle hand.
"Buffy, I can-"
"No! No, I-I can do it. I don't want you having any excuse to leave me again. Just help me out of here please."
"Why would I leave you?"
"You know why. Giles, please, help me out?"
He sat on the side of the tub.
"You think I would leave you because of what happen tonight?"
"No. I think you would leave me because you thought I was passing more reasonability on to you, say for instance, Dawn."
"Buffy, you had a hard battle tonight-"
"But that doesn't mean I can't take care of-"
Instead of laying his finger to her mouth again, Giles leaned down and kissed her. Mumbling against her soft lips...
"I won't leave. Rest."
"Promise?"
Her eyes were pleading with him as she whispered against his mouth, her breath tickling him.
"Of course I do."
"I really can take care of it."
"I know you can."
He saw the tiredness in her eyes as the candle light flickered across her face. He pulled back and ran the back of his knuckles along her cheek.
"But I want to do this. Okay?"
She smiled at him.
"Ok, thank you."
"You're most welcome."
He started to get up but was stopped by her hand.
"What is it?"
"Come here, please."
Frowning, Giles thought something was wrong with her as he leaned down on his knee to her. Buffy smiled and kissed him passionately, shocking her watcher at first by her forwardness. Then as he felt her moving her mouth over his, Giles snaked his tongue out and slipped it into the cavern of Buffy's mouth. Running it along hers in a long, lazy, seeking manner. Showing her just how much he wanted her with his kiss.
"You promised."
"Hmm?"
She laughed at him as he opened his eyes.
"No leaving."
He felt horrible that she thought he could leave her so easily.
"Never."
He sealed his promise to her with a kiss.
**
After Calling Marcy and finding out if she was going with Dawn to the party, Giles also found out that Kevin's parents would be there. So he agreed to let her go as long as she checked in and Marcy stayed with her at all times. Dawn hugged him and thanked him before she ran out and over to Marcy's.
Turning back to refrigerator, Giles grabbed an ice cream carton.
**
When he reached the bedroom he found Buffy lying in bed, her body covered by a thin sheet. Because of the candle light, Giles could see the outline of her body through the thin material.
She was naked.
"How did things go?" She sounded sleepy as she smiled at him.
"Uh..."
He swallowed several times before tearing his eyes away from her and sat the ice cream down on the nightstand.
"W-Well I believe."
"Good." She patted the bed as he looked at her. "Get in."
"Pardon?"
"Don't tell me you're all shy now?"
He smiled at her as he slid his shoes off and slid into bed next to her. Taking her into his arms as her head rested on his chest, Giles answered her. "Hardly."
"I didn't think so."
He was running his hands up and down her spine slowly, massaging her back as she saw the ice cream next to bed.
"What's that for?"
"Hmm?"
Buffy reached for the carton then gingerly sat up by his side.
"This."
"Ah, yes, that."
He was grinning at her as he took the lid off and laid it on the nightstand. "That's for you. I thought it might help you feel a bit better."
Looking at him Buffy smiled. "My hero."
Giles chuckled as he leaned into her and kissed her.
"How are you feeling?"
"Still sore. But, better."
"Good." He was reaching to grab a spoon but realized he forgot it when he didn't see it on the nightstand. "Damn."
"What?" Buffy stuck her finger into the ice cream and tasted it.
"I forgot a spoon."
"Not a problem."
"No?" He turned back to her and saw she had some ice cream on her finger as she licked it off. Giles groaned, causing Buffy to giggle.
"Something wrong, big guy?"
"Tease."
"Aww, I'm sorry," she mused then licked some of the cream off another finger as it slowly slid down the appendage towards her hand. "You wanna try it?"
"Actually, I do."
Buffy smiled, thinking he meant off her finger, so she dipped her right index finger back into the ice cream. But Giles had no intention of trying it that way. Instead he leaned into her and kissed her. Coaxing her lips apart, his tongue searching for hers, till he found it and tasted the French Vanilla flavor of the ice cream she was eating.
Now Buffy was the one to moan.
She leaned back, giving him further access to her mouth and deepened the kiss. One of Giles hands slide along her thigh and over the slim sleek silk that covered it from the bed sheets, until it reached her hip. He rested his hand there, stroking her skin softly with his fingers as his tongue continued to mate with Buffy's.
They both forgot the ice cream for several minutes, when Giles gasped as the cold liquid started to pour all over his groin.
"Bloody hell" he growled as he grabbed the container and sat it on the nightstand.
Buffy giggled causing Giles to look at her, then she cringed, forgetting her ribs.
"What are you laughing about?"
"Nothing."
"Are you all right?"
"Yeah, I keep forgetting I'm hurt."
Giles laid a tender kiss to her hand that covered her ribs then stood up.
"I think we should halt our um, *activates* until you're feeling better and I'm less, wet."
Buffy laughed out loud at his comment and pointed at his groin when she saw the white mess the ice cream left on him. Pain shot through her body as she groaned, grabbing her ribs. Giles sat next to her, laying a hand to hers.
"Buffy?"
"Laughing sucks," she growled.
"I'm sorry, love."
"You should be! You keep making me laugh!"
"Sorry."
He kissed her gently, trying to express how sorry he was that she was in so much pain.
"I think we better let you rest," he told her.
"No leaving."
She took his hand in hers and held it to her chest.
"You couldn't get rid of me if you tired, love. Not now. Not ever."
Buffy sighed in relief as Giles stood up and started to take his pants off.
"Hey, Giles?"
"Hmm?"
"You have any dollar bills?"
"Dollar bills? Why?"
"Cause there's this gorgeous guy stripping in front of me and normally I would be tossing dollar bills at him."
Raising his brow to her, Giles dropped his pants.
"Scratch that. You deserve ten's."
Chuckling, Giles removed his shirt then slid into bed with Buffy. Luckily the ice cream melted on his pants, so there wasn't a mess on the sheets. Giles pulled Buffy into his arms and cuddled with her as she ran her fingers through the light covering of hair on his chest.
"I could get use to this," she told him, her voice sounding sleepy.
"As could I."
"Can I get use to it?"
"Of course. I told you, Buffy, I'm not going anywhere."
Buffy drifted off to sleep with the safety of knowing he would never leave her again and they were starting a new life ....together.
**
Giles felt pressure on his lower body.
He opened his eyes slowly and just enough to make out his slayer straddling his hips.
"Guess who's feeling better?"
He smiled at her then closed his eyes again.
"Hey! NO sleeping, mister."
"Buffy, I'm terribly tired. Can't we-"
Giles let his statement fall short as Buffy leaned into him, and over him, rubbing her sex over his.
"You might be tired, but *he* seems to be up for the occasion."
Giles laughed, opening his eyes as Buffy leaned closer to him. She opened her mouth and ran her tongue along his throat, causing Giles to make a contented sound. He laced his hands through her beautiful golden hair before asking her.
"You're trying to kill me, aren't you?"
"No (kiss) I've had enough sex (lick) with dead men (kiss) thank you very much."
Giles gently tugged her head back, and watched her with questioning eyes. "Something you want to share with me, Darling?"
"I meant Angel and Spike, and Ewwwwwww."
He laughed again as she sat up and glared at him. It was then he finally noticed she was still naked from last night.
"I can't believe you thought I would have sex with-"
Giles, with desire swimming in his eyes, interrupted her by laying his lips to hers and kissing her wantonly. Buffy let out a small moan as Giles swallowed it. His hands went to her sides, pulling her closer as Buffy rubbed against him again.
"Vixen."
She giggled as he started kissing her neck then trailed love bites to the sensitive spot behind her ear.
"Buffy?"
The couple pulled apart sighing at the sound of Xander and Willow's voices calling her name.
"Is the door locked?" Giles asked. Buffy nodded and Giles continued to kiss her neck, trailing the kisses down to her breasts.
"Giles!"
"Shhh," he mumbled against her as he flicked his tongue over her nipple. Buffy had to lean into his shoulder to stifle her moan.
"Guys? Are you awake? We have a problem!"
"Problem?" Buffy was worried now. Giles stopped what he was doing and looked at the door.
"What's wrong Xander?"
"Why is the door lock? GILES? What are you doing in there?"
Dawnie was smiling at the look on Xander's face.
"Just tell us what's wrong," Giles insisted as Willow grinned, she started to get why the door was locked by the sound of Giles' strained voice.
"It's Dawn-"
"What?!" Buffy got off of Giles and wrapped a sheet around her; Giles threw the other cover over him as she opened the door.
"What's wrong with-" Buffy stopped as she saw her sister standing there, covered in demon goo. "You?" Buffy finished as Giles peeked around his slayer's form from his spot on the bed. Xander's mouth was watering at seeing Buffy in the sheet while Willow smiled at Giles.
"Wow, Buff. You could have been a goddess." Everyone looked at him. Especially Giles. "Did I just say that out loud?"
Clearing his throat, Giles asked the young girl, "Dawn? What happen?"
"Oh, uh nothing." She tried to smile as bright as she could but the watcher held his glare. "Demon got us."
"What? What demon? Where?" Buffy demanded as Willow calmed her.
"It's ok, Buffy, it wasn't poisonous." Willow looked at Giles as he got up to come closer. He looked at the slime on Dawn and nodded with Willow in agreement. "See?" the witch added with a smile as Buffy glared at her sister.
"WHAT happen?"
"Nothing!"
"DAWN!"
"Frat party," Xander answered as Dawn hit him in the stomach with her elbow.
"Bloody hell, it's you all over again," Giles mumbled as he turned to go back to bed. Buffy shot him a glare before turning back to Dawn.
"What did I, what did GILES and I tell you about -"
"I know! Ok, I know! And it's not like it's my fault!"
"Sounds familiar," Giles said with his voice low and teasing. Buffy shot him another deadly look.
"DO you mind?"
"Sorry," he told her with a smile.
"Buffy-"
"Oh no, YOU are not talking, YOU are listening! You're grounded for a week-"
"BUFFY!"
"Wanna make it two?"
Dawn glared at her sister who was being totally unfair!
"Good, go get cleaned up then make breakfast."
"Excuse me?"
"That's part of your punishment, you have to make breakfast for me and Giles and Willow and Xander."
"Cool," Xander said with a smile.
"Hey! I am not a maid"
"Right, you're not. You're a cook. Now go."
Dawn stomped off towards her bathroom and slammed the door shut. Willow and Xander looked back to Buffy.
"You really going to make her cook?" Willow wondered
"Nah, I wanna live to see tomorrow. I just wanted to make her sweat."
"Awwww man! That means we don't get breakfast?" Xander whined. "Dawnie isn't that bad of a cook."
Buffy giggled as she noticed the TV was on behind her. Giles was watching the news.
"Ok guys. Can you handle Dawn until Giles and I come down?"
Willow had the biggest grin Buffy ever saw as she answered her.
"Of course! Come on Xander."
Willow grabbed his hand and led him down stairs as Buffy heard him say as she shut the door and locked it; "Did we know they were doing it?"
Buffy chuckled and walked to Giles. She stood by the bedside for a few moments and when he didn't say anything she dropped the sheet and straddled him.
"You find that more interesting than me?"
He was smiling as he turned to look at her.
"Nothing could be more interesting than you."
"So you're just ignoring me then?"
"I thought you were angry with me."
"No, I have other *ways* to make you pay for that."
Buffy grabbed the remote out of his hand, turned the volume up as Giles looked at her, wondering why she did that, then she tossed the remote over her shoulder with a devilish smile and kissed him but then pulled away.
"Oh! And, 'It's me all over again?!' What did you-"
Laughing, Giles kissed her with all the passion he had in him.
*CRASH*
Moaning in frustration Buffy and Giles pulled apart.
"What was that?" she asked Giles.
"I don't know...."
"BUFFY! GILES!! DEMON!!"
Willow and Xander where calling to them as another *crash* was heard.
"We're never going to do it!" Buffy growled as she hoped out of bed and reached for her sweats. Giles got up as well and reached for his pants, then realized they had the white stain from the ice cream on them.
"Uh, Buffy?"
She turned to look at him and laughed.
"Awwww Giles I didn't know you wanted me that badly."
"You have no idea. And ha bloody ha."
"BUFFY!" Willow called to her again as another loud sound was heard.
Grabbing her sword off the dresser, Buffy went to Giles.
"Stay here, get naked, this won't take long."
"Buffy, I don't want you-"
She kissed him forcefully.
"I'll be right back."
Buffy headed out the door and down the stairs as Giles grabbed a towel off her floor and started to wipe the ice cream off his pants, it wasn't working. He threw the towel down, grabbed the extra sword Buffy had there and ran down stairs to help his slayer.
When he got to the bottom of the steps he found Buffy staring at Willow, Xander, Dawn, Anya and Andrew. They were holding a large birthday cake for Buffy's birthday.
"Hey, G. Glad you could...." Xander saw the spot on his jeans and covered his eyes. "Oh god, oh god!"
Looking down, Giles sighed.
"It's vanilla ice cream. Buffy and I -"
"NO! No more information! That's fine," Xander insisted as Giles walked behind Buffy.
"Happy birthday, darling."
"Thank you" She smiled at him as they shared a kiss.
Andrew looked at everyone and asked, "Did we know they were (he made a gesture with his hand, using his finger going through his fist) you know?"
The Scooby's made a *gross* face as Anya told them, "And you guys complain about my remarks? At least I don't use hand gestures!"
The End
