(Dungeon)
Xander and the others had quietly made their way out of the dungeon through the hole Anya had helped dig out. They headed around to the back of the mansion, looking for a way in. Once they found it, they snuck through the kitchen and into the living room where they found Ethan still tied to the chair.
Giles' father was listening to Ethan as the gang snuck into position an stood ready for Xander's sign to attack
"Go on Ethan, explain " Alexander said.
"If you don't wait till Rippers recovered, assuming you find him again that is, then the ritual to take his magic before you turn him...."
"No one's turning anyone!" Xander growled as he slammed the large rock over Alex's head, knocking the vamp to the ground.
Willow grabbed a chair and dashed it against the wall. It splintered and she took one of the legs and tossed it to Xander, as Alexander started to get up off the ground, he slipped into his game face as Tara worked on setting Ethan free.
"Bloody fool-hearted kids! You'll never get..." Alexander stopped his growl when he saw Xander charging at him with the wooden chair leg. He spun and grabbed the boy, throwing him across the room. Willow called out to her friend then started chanting a protection spell over him.
Turning his attention to Willow, Alexander grabbed a large sword off one of the walls and headed her way. Tara called for Xander to wake up as she feverishly worked to get Ethan untied.
"Protect yourself Willow!" Tara called to her girlfriend as she finally got Ethan free. The sorcerer rubbed his wrists then bolted from the chair, heading down stairs and towards the front door.
Tara called to him angrily.
"HEY! Get back here!!"
Ethan paid her no mind.
Willow quickly reached down for another leg from the chair she had broken as Alex lunged at her. They fell to the ground, struggling, as Tara closed her eyes and concentrated. She began to chant as Willow struggled with Alexander and before Giles' father knew what was going on, he was thrown off Willow.
He slammed into the wall behind him- breaking a large chunk out of it as he hit. Tara ran to her girlfriend and helped her up.
"Thanks baby"
"S-Sure. A-Are you ok?" Tara asked Willow nervously.
"I will be once we get out of here. Is Xander all right?" Willow didn't get a chance to finish her question as she watched Xander run up to Alexander and slam the chair leg through the vampire's heart.
"Xander's fine" He told them as they all watched Giles' dad turn to dust.
"You know, not that I'm complaining;" Willow began as she stood up with Tara's help. "But that was kinda easy"
"Will, don't jinx us" Xander told her.
"I-I'm not. I'm just saying, he was way too easy to kill. Just...doesn't seem right"
"You think something's up?" Anya asked as she went to Xander and started brushing off some of the ashes from her boyfriends shirt.
"I don't know. Something just doesn't...feel right"
"Cant we just be happy that for once, something went easy and none of us got hurt?" Xander asked as he picked up the sword that Alex had used earlier.
Willow eyed him. "What? We have to go find Buffy and Giles. This is just...insurance"
"Uh huh" Willow said and slipped her fingers through Tara's as everyone followed Xander out of the mansion.
"Ok so maybe it was a little too easy. But who knows, maybe Giles' dad wasn't such a bad ass after all. Maybe he just thought he was"
As soon as the gang were out of sight, the pile of dust lying on the floor started to gather and swirl in the air. When the particles of ash formed back into a figure, Giles' father emerged with snarl.
"I'll teach you the true meaning of bad, soon enough boy...."
The lights through out the mansion, broke and short-circuited one at a time, like a domino effect till the last one was out and the mansion was blanketed in darkness.
(Giles' Home)
After his shower, Giles came out of the bathroom looking for Buffy. He found her in the kitchen, making him something to eat. Stopping just before he entered, he watched her move around the small area as if she been doing it for years. She looked like she belonged there. In his home. In his life. Making his food, washing his tea cup... Giles smiled warmly when he saw how careful she was with it.
"Something smells good" Giles whispered, trying not to startle her.
He hadn't. She smelled the fresh aroma of the soap he used long before he came into the kitchen. Turning to face him, Buffy wrapped her arms around him and snuggled into his chest, murmuring..
"I'm making you soup"
"Thank you. You didn't have to"
"I know, but I wanted to. Are you hungry?"
"A little, yes"
"Cool. Um, I have a question?"
"All right"
"Why are we whispering?"
Chuckling, Giles forgot about his ribs, for one second, till pain flashed inside him.
"Giles?"
"I-I'm fine"
"Right" she said, not fully believing him. Buffy moved his hand gently and opened his shirt. Some of his wounds were bleeding again. "Get upstairs"
"I beg your pardon?"
"I'll bring your soup up then take care of those" Buffy said, nodding towards his wounds.
Giles stood still for a moment.
"Giles? You ok?"
"Y-Yes. I just...It seems strange you wanting to take care of me"
At Buffy's distraught look, Giles moved forward, laying his hands to her shoulders.
"Oh, Buffy I didn't -"
"No, you're right. I'm sorry, Giles. I know I haven't been very good to you -"
"No, no you were fine, darling. I should be the one to apologize. I hadn't meant for that to come out as it did"
"Darling? I like that"
"I-I'm sorry?"
"When you call me darling. It makes me feel...special"
"That's because you are" He told her sincerely. His voice sounding grainy as he placed a tender kiss to her lips. "You're the most amazing..." Giles placed another kiss to her jaw.
"caring..." one more kiss went to the underside of her chin
"brave..." Giles' tongue slid out and trailed a lone vein to the base of her throat
"sensually exquisite..." his voice trailed off briefly as he nipped at her.
"creature I have ever had the pleasure to know"
The soft tone in his voice, sent a shiver through Buffy's body. He gave her an open mouthed kiss just above the wildly beating pulse in the base of her neck, before he started sucking at it.
"Oh, god Giles..." She felt like she was out of breath as he continued to kiss and nip at her throat. Buffy's hands slid through his hair, her fingers gripping handfuls and holding him to her.
"I want you, Buffy" his whispered confession drew another groan from her.
"I want you to... but... we cant... not yet. We have to make sure your cuts are... oh...oh god that's nice" Buffy mumbled when she felt one of his large hands, slipping under her shirt to cup her breast.
Giles smiled against her throat before trailing his kisses to a sensitive spot behind her ear. Buffy growled.
"Evil. You're just... evil... Giles"
His grin widened.
"Are you sure evil is the word you're looking for?" He asked gently, his voice a soft whisper in her ear. Making her shiver. Giles pressed his body closer to hers and took her lobe into his mouth and between his teeth.
A strangled sound came from Buffy, knowing she wanted him so badly and she wasn't going to be able to fight him, even if it was for his own good.
"You're ...hurt... We need to get your...." Buffy's mind went blank when Giles rolled her nipple between his fingers. Bringing the already hard bud to an even harder, almost painfully enjoyable point. "Oh, my...uh...you...um...what was I.. saying?"
Giles couldn't help it. He pulled back and laughed. She was so adorable. He couldn't believe he was making her so hot that she couldn't remember what she was going to say.
"Hey! No laughing at the speaking impaired"
"I find it highly amusing that for once, in the *many* years we've known one another; you're the one finding it difficult to speak"
"Ah ha. So-that's why you use to stutter all that time? I turned you on?"
"I plead the Fifth" Giles grinned .
"No way buddy, only an American can ...."
"Then maybe this Englishmen can ask his American to go upstairs with him and educate him on the finer points of...."
"If we go upstairs. The only thing I'm educating you on, is the fine art of making Buffy"
*RING*
"Damn it" The slayer said with a pout.
"Ignore it" Giles told her, his lips going back to hers. Buffy laid her hands to his ribs and leaned into his body. Giles pulled slightly, grunting in pain.
"oh Giles!"
"Its all right-"
"No it isn't. Upstairs mister!"
"Pardon me?"
"You're hurt, Giles-"
"Just a flesh wound" He mumbled, his breath washing over her as he looked into her eyes, which were dark with desire,
Whining, Buffy slightly pushed him away even though she didn't want to.
"No. Giles. I am not hurting you anymore. Now get upstairs, and I'll bring the tea and soup"
He was silent for moment before he smiled and answered.
"Yes ma'am"
(Upstairs- Giles' Bedroom)
After he ate, Giles watched Buffy sit at his side. She re-cleaned several wounds along his battered ribs and re-applied the antibiotic cream he had used on her earlier.
<Lord she looked beautiful>.
He couldn't believe she was there with him, that she was taking care of him and enjoying it. How did he get this lucky?
Unable to stop himself, Giles reached out with his free hand and ran the back of his knuckles along her cheek bone as she tended to him.
"Buffy?"
"Hmm?"
"Are the children here with you?"
"Yeah, they're at the hotel. Why, would you like to see them?"
"No" he whispered "Not just yet"
Buffy looked up at the soft, husky tone in Giles' voice.
He was leaning into her and before she could react to meet him half way, he placed a soft kiss to her lips. His hands framed her face and he held her to the kiss, both of them enjoying the soft, exploring and rather arousing temptation of the other's tongue sliding inside their mouths.
"I want you" Giles whispered hotly into her mouth, almost out of breath. Buffy smiled against the watcher's full lips and straddled his thighs gently, careful not to jar his ribs, before answering.
"Not as much as I want you" She kissed him again - soundly, her lips moving over his, her tongue pleasing and teasing his own while Giles' hands moved behind her. He slid his fingers along her small but strong back, trailing the tips along her spine before he slipped them to her rump and squeezed her cheeks.
*Knock*
Buffy groaned.
"Who could that be?" She asked her watcher, but never removed her lips from his.
"I don't know" He answered her, dragging his mouth from hers to kiss her neck. "Everyone I know, thinks I'm dead"
Buffy froze at his words. Giles pulled back to look at her, wondering what was wrong.
"Buffy?"
"What if it's Ethan?"
"I doubt it. I think he knows well enough to...."
"Buffy? Are you ok? It's Xander"
Relief filled Buffy as she started to get up, but Giles held her to his lap.
"I should let them in, Giles"
Ignoring her, Giles slid his hands under her shirt and cupped her breasts.
"I agree, someone should be let in, but it isn't them, I had in mind" He told her, grinning wickedly.
Buffy groaned at the thought of Giles being inside her. She leaned in to kiss him when another knock sounded, this one louder than the last one.
"Buffy?! Come on. Angel said you were here. We need to talk to you. It's....it's about Giles"
(Downstairs - Giles' home - living room)
When Buffy opened the door, the gang rushed in, all of them talking at once and dripping on the carpet.
"Buffy, we have to talk" Xander told her as he shook some of the rain water from his head.
However before he could finish, he was cut off by Willow.
"Yeah, Buffy, brace yourself but..." and before she could finish, Dawn interrupted her happily.
"Giles is alive, Buffy!"
"Yeah, G-man's ok, Buff. I-I think, I mean. After killing his dad, we sorta...."
"My father ... ?" The Watcher came in from the kitchen with his hands full of cookies and tea on a large tray. His voice sounded somewhat sad and in disbelief at the news of his father.
"Giles!" Everyone called his name at once as they rushed to him and surrounded him with hugs.
"Man G, it's so good to see you" Xander mumbled against the watcher's chest as Dawn said into Giles back..."I second that. We missed you Giles!" Anya, who was at his side added. "We're so glad you're not dead anymore. Everyone was so sad"
Giles smiled fondly and managed somehow to get a kiss placed on Willows cheek as well as Anya's and Dawn's when she came around in front of him and Xander was pushed aside and another round of hugs went on.
Xander added with a teasing grin.
"Hey, watch those lips there Mister. Just because some people are batting for the other team this season, doesn't mean everyone is. No kiss for me, G. But thanks just the same "
Giles laughed softly as Willow gave Xander a dirty look and took the tray out of Giles hands and sat it on the coffee table .
"Not to worry, Xander. It wasn't in my plans to give you one" Giles replied as Buffy smiled like a fool while she watched her friends reuniting with Giles. He looked so happy as they descended upon him again with another round of hugs and kisses from the girls. Tara, who had been standing in the background, smiled shyly when Buffy's watcher opened his arms and invited her into the group hug.
Noticing Buffy was missing, Giles lifted his eyes from 'his' children and searched for her. She was on the couch now, watching them with a smile. Giles returned the grin, failing to notice Xander and Willow were saying something to him as he watched Buffy mouth 'I love you'.
"I love you too, darling"
"Thanks, dear. But Anya and I made up all ready, G. I'm taken" Xander joked as the gang laughed. Giles broke eye contact with his now giggling Slayer and looked at Xander in confusion.
"Excuse me?"
"Anya and I. We made up. But, I appreciate the gesture. I mean, who knows, maybe it could have worked with us if fate hadn't stepped in...."
"Xander, do shut up" Giles growled playful as he went to Buffy and sat by her side as she dissolved into giggles.
"Well..." Xander said, pretending to be hurt. "I guess the honeymoons over"
"And why do you find this funny?" Giles asked Buffy.
"Because you're so adorable and you don't even know it"
Shyly, Giles lowered his eyes as the gang came closer and took a seat around the watcher and his slayer.
"Hey, G? About your dad..."
Lifting his eyes, Giles looked Xander.
"Yes?"
"I ... we had to...he was a vamp, Giles. We had to...I had to stake him, t-to save Willow"
"Which, if it wasn't for me, maybe we could have helped him. Like we did for Angel when he lost his soul.... It was - is - my fault, Giles. I'm sorry. I talked everyone into rescuing Ethan because he was protecting you and not telling your dad where to find you" Willow said quietly.
"Then he ran away" Tara added as Anya stated. "Like a coward"
"That sounds like Ethan" Giles answered as Buffy watched him. She could tell he was upset a little about his dad. "But, there's no need to be sorry, Willow. You all did what you thought was right."
"Hey?" She called to him softly as the gang, who were seated around the coffee table on the floor, leaned against each other, trying to get comfortable. The day's earlier events were finally catching up to them.
"Hmm?"
"You all right?"
"Of course"
"Are you lying?"
Smiling faintly, Giles took her hand in his.
"It's rather...strange. I had thought my father to be dead all these years. At least that's what the council told me, "killed in the line of duty"... Then I come to find that he wasn't"
"Must be a shock for you. I'm sorry"
"There's no need to be sorry, love. Although I appreciate the thought"
"Was he a good man?"
"My father? Yes, I suppose so, although I was never close to him. His choice. He believed that his duty as a watcher came before family or...well almost anything else. He was dedicated to The Cause and that left no time for a wife or son, not on a personal level at any rate. Once I was old enough to be sent away for my watcher's training.....I never saw my father again"
"Oh, Giles. I'm sorry" Buffy repeated
"Don't be. It was a way of life, is a way of life, for a watcher"
"I know but, I'm still sorry. I guess we have more things in common than we thought"
"What do you mean?"
"Well your dad kinda bailed on you, like mine bailed on me"
"Yes, I suppose one could look at it that way" Giles admitted.
"Yeah, but it doesn't matter now, because I have you and you most definitely have me"
A warm smile spread across his lips as he turned to look at his love.
"Do I now?"
"Oh yes, and Giles? I will *never* bail on you"
Love flooded his heart as Giles leaned into his slayer and kissed her soundly before whispering against her mouth.
"Nor I you, darling"
"Man, you guys are so mushy" Dawn mumbled.
Giles looked up and over his coffee table. Dawn was lying on the floor, using Anya's back as a pillow. She, in turn, had her head on Xander's chest. Tara and Willow snuggled across from them all as everyone tried to fall asleep.
"Hey, mind your own thing over there missy and go to sleep" Buffy told her sister as Dawn stuck her tongue out at her.
"Yeah like I can sleep with you two yapping"
"I'm sorry, Dawn. We'll go upstairs" Giles said as he stood. Dawn reached up and took his hand in hers.
"Hey Giles?"
"Yes?"
"I kinda, love you too, you know. I don't think I've ever told you that, but... I do. And I'm glad you're ok"
Giles felt his heart swell as he leaned down and placed a kiss to her temple.
"I love you too, Dawn. Now get some rest"
Dawn smiled and settled back next to Anya.
"Hey G, no sugar for me?"
"Go to sleep Xander, before I let Mrs. Johnson's bulldog lick you to death"
Buffy giggled and took her watcher's hand in hers. Lacing their fingers together, she led him towards the stairs. Buffy looked back at their sleeping friends and whispered to Giles...
"You know, when they're like this, they're kinda cute"
Giles laughed.
"God, you don't know how good it is to hear you do that"
Giles turned his attention back to his slayer's soft, husky voice.
"Sorry?"
"You don't do it nearly enough. But that's going to change"
"Oh?"
"Hmm. Do you know how sexy you are when you laugh like that? It makes your eyes shine with mischief and something I can't quite put my finger on yet"
"Speaking of fingers..." Giles whispered as his lightly gazed her hips then pulled her against his body. Buffy's breath had caught when she felt him hardening against her and she desperately tried to pay attention to what he was saying as he continued to grow harder.
"You have no idea what you do to me" Giles whispered in her ear "when you're not close... I ache for you, I want to touch you, hold you. Feel your body in some way, pressing against mine"
Buffy closed her eyes and reveled in the feeling he stirring inside her again.
"Buffy?" He said her name a few times but she didn't answer.
Her eyes closed and she moved her hips, brushing herself against his groin, making him gasp.
"I'll never stop touching you, Giles. But if you don't take me into you arms *right* now and make love to me....."
"Now?" His voice was raw with need as he moved against her. "Here?"
"Here. On the stairs, against the wall in hall, across the desk in your room.... I don't care, Giles, just take me" She looked up at him, her voice and eyes filled with desire before she added in a whisper. "Or I could take you. Your choice, Watcher mine"
********
"Wow, when I said the wall, the stairs *and* your desk, I didn't really think you would actually...well...you know...listen to me"
Giles chuckled, his chest shaking her head as it rested against him. They lay on the floor, their breathing starting to return to normal.
"Well, I've never had such a lovely offer, so how could I refuse?"
Buffy smiled and kissed his chest, her lips near his right nipple. She smiled wickedly against him then snaked her tongue out and licked him. Giles growled.
"Vixen. Haven't I satisfied you yet?"
"Nope. There's still the bathroom, which holds not only a warm shower, but a bath as well. And we cant forget your bed and dresser...."
"We couldn't possible get to all those places before the children wake up"
"Well, it's a goal I'm willing to try an achieve. How about you?"
Giles looked at her and grinned before answering her softly.
"Your goals have always been my goals"
Giles slid his gaze over her body as he pulled her into his arms.
(Outside Giles' Home)
The wind blew harder and the rain fell heavier from the sky as Alexander Giles moved across the street and stopped just in front of his son's home. Lifting his head, he looked up at the window and watched as his son kissed the slayer then laid her down on the on bed.
"Enjoy your time with her son. Soon, memories of her will be all you have left...."
The End?
