"Buffy, you got to remember, he loves you, he just was being human. I think Giles is capable of being jealous you know."
"I suppose your right Wills."
The phone scared both girls and Buffy got up and answered it, as she was talking her face paled and she hung up the phone. Tears started streaming down her face.
"Buffy??? Buffy what's wrong? Please tell me."
"He… He was in an accident. I gotta go."
She pulled on her arm. "Who?"
"Giles. It's Giles, oh my god, Giles." She sank down the wall to the floor and started to heavily sob. Willow got down and tried to comfort her.
At the hospital, Giles laid in a coma after striking a lightpole with
his car. Fortunately the council used their power to pull him out of
any legal repercussions, but him, physically they couldn't do
anything for. Every machine possible was sustaining him right now.
Buffy's heart broke when she saw him like this. Her sobs escaped her
and she tried to reach for his hand, but ended up passing out.
She woke up and the doctor was over, "Easy, your body had a shock regarding the news about Mr. Giles. Are you his daughter?"
It was then Buffy truly decided, "No, girlfriend. How is he?"
"Too be honest, it doesn't look so good between previous injuries and this accident, he may die."
Buffy looked at him; "I'm going to stay here." She got off the gurney and walked back to his room. "I'm so sorry. I should have stopped you and talked it over, tell you I was thinking about breaking up with him anyway, just wanted to find my own way. Tell you that its you I want to be with. Oh god Giles, I love you!" she started sobbing again and the next thing she knew she was being shoved to the side as crash carts entered the room, she looked at Giles heart monitor and saw it was flatlined. "OH GOD NO! GILES! I LOVE YOU!"
