Part 8

Giles was relieved to find out that Hank and the girls had come to some sort of an agreement.  Dawn was going to be able to finish the school year here in Sunnydale, with the possibility to stay for the summer if and only if she can keep her grades up and stays out of trouble in school.  Dawn had made oodles of promises that she would do just that and Buffy was determined to see her through it.
Later that evening after Dawn was up stairs in bed Giles and Buffy spent sometime alone.  Buffy wanted to  beable to discuss other things with Giles.  Hank had expressed his concern about Giles hanging around them too much.  He didn't care if Giles was her so called Watcher or not.  It made no difference to him.  He even threatened to take Dawn away if Buffy and Giles crossed over any boundaries that would involve a more personal relationship.  Dawn had not been to helpful.  She had blurted out that Giles had been staying the night there in the house.  Hank had gotten real red in the face and started to chew Buffy out.  Somehow Buffy had convinced him that Giles was only there looking after Dawn and keeping her safe, while Buffy was out at night.

This discussion led to a deeper one, involving the fact that Dawn was not really his daughter.  He couldn't comprehend all of this, nor did he want to.  He realized how out of touch he had gotten with his family and then decided to let Dawn stay for the school year and see what to do next.

Giles noticed Buffy pacing the room in circles around him.  It was making him quite dizzy, "Are you going to stop these incessant circles around me and talk or do is your plan to make me ill?"

Buffy froze and looked up at him,  "My Dad has a few stipulations regarding you in particular."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anger had overcome him, when he marched out the front door to his car.  He raced to the hotel hoping to find Hank.  Sure enough there was Hank sitting in the coffee house at the hotel.  Giles stormed in and grabbed Hank by the arm prying him out of his seat and out the door.  Hank tried to struggle at first but Giles had too strong of a grip on him.

"Listen hear Rupert, I don't know what your problem is you pervert!"  Hank screamed as Giles tossed him into his car.  Hank wanted to jump out but Giles was too fast and in the car and moving.

"You are kidnapping me!!!  This is against the law, I could have you..."  Hank was silenced by Giles' fist to his jaw.  Giles just smiled to himself as he pulled in behind the Magic Shop.

Giles managed to carry him into the shop and set him down in a chair.  He slapped Hank's face causing the man to wake up spewing obscenities.  Until he saw a picture in Giles' hand with a folder.

"Do you know what this is?"  Giles smirked and removed his glasses placing them on a table.

Hank sat there dumb struck., "Buffy doesn't know.  Does she?"

"Of course not nor do the authorities.  But that could all change."  Giles strutted around Hank please at himself, "you see Hank at first I wanted things to go smoothly, I thought hey he is their Dad and I should give him a chance to do the right thing, but just in case I had some friends in L.A. do some research on you.  They run a little Investigations Agency and my my what they found."

"Fine what is it that you want?"  Hank begged staring at the folder and the picture.  He knew he had made some bad choices along with his boss, but he didn't need it to be brought into light.

"What do I want, I want what Buffy wants, to keep Dawn here.  Oh and on a side note, I want Buffy your daughter, I just hope she wants doesn't run from me because her Dad hurls minor threats at her and I want you out of town and stay out of our relationship.  Now go back to L.A., just remember I have friends there looking out for you.  Incase anything should happen"  Giles glared at Hank, while hovering over him.

"Whatever you insist, just please don't let her know.  It would crush her, that and..."  Hank hung his head down low.  He hadn't expected Giles would be so smart and cunning, "I do love the girls and only wanted what was best for them, I just don't understand."

"Hank, it's your fault, no one's but yours.  Hey if you want to be a loving supportive Dad I am all for it.  But if you want to control and manipulate your daughters, I will show you what it's like to be bent over and rammed up the ass with a telephone pole.  Understood?"

Hank shook his head, and Giles showed him to the door.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buffy had no idea what Giles was up to when he stormed out the door, and grew worried.  Then the phone rang.  It had been her Dad, he was asking if he could have breakfast tomorrow morning with them, before he went home.

Part 9

Giles called over to the house and Dawn told him that Buffy went patrolling and that Willow and Tara were over.  Giles smiled in relief knowing that he could do what he planned without any interruptions from Dawn and the gang.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Uh Anya, did you hear that?"  Xander asked peeking out of the gym in the Magic Shop.

"Of course, do you think he suspected we were here?"  Anya asked.

"Well duh!  If he had, do you think he would've..." Xander swallowed hard trying to find the words.

Anya patted his bare muscled back and smiled kindly "practically announced to Hank that he was going to give Buffy orgasms!"

Xander blushed profusely, "Could we refrain from mentioning them and the word orgasms together.  I don't think my stomach can handle that right now."

"It was a good thing we parked down the street, or we would've missed out on all of that."  Anya grinned.

"What gets me is, what was in the file and picture Giles had?"  Xander asked.

"Hmmmmm .... I think he put it back in that filing cabinet."  Anya nodded pointed to the small wooden filing cabinet.

"Can you open it?"

"No Giles, won't give me the key to that.  He says, it is his personal belongings."  Anya whined.

"Well I want to find out what is in there."  Xander stood staring at the cabinet thinking.
-------------------------------------------------------

Buffy was roaming the cemetery, thinking of Giles.  She wished he was there.  So many things were on her mind that she needed to tell him.

Giles stepped out in to the open and smiled at his slayer, "Close your eyes and give me your hand."

Buffy nodded and did just that.  She grew excited as Giles lead her around.

"No peeking." Giles scolded when he saw Buffy squint her eyes.

"No peekage.  I promise."

"You can open them now."  Giles allowed and when Buffy open her eyes she was amazed at what she found before her.

A blanket laid on the ground with a basket full of cheese and bread and wine.  All around them were jars full of lightening bugs making everything glow.

"Oh Giles it's beautiful."  Buffy giggled in excitement.

Giles offered her a seat on the blanket and sat down right beside her, looking her directly in the eyes, "I need to tell you this so please allow me to speak."  Buffy nodded for him to continue, "I do not want to play games, I do not want to be left or leave you guessing anything.  I have never deserted you, nor will I ever just up and leave you.  You Buffy, are my life, my everything.  I have waited for years to share my life with you, and more then just a friend and watcher.  I give you my everything.  My only hope is that you can feel even a tiny bit the way I do."

Tears were welling up in her eyes, and when she opened her mouth they flowed down her cheeks.  She choked on her words, then Giles comforted her with a tender kiss.

Buffy looked up into his eyes and smiled, "I am all yours."
