Wesley guided a wobbly Crystal back to their table, the rest of the gang following silently.
"Who would have thought 'boogie til you puke' was more than just the title of a really bad song?"
"Xander," Willow admonished him. "Are you okay, Crystal?"
The girl nodded as she took a swallow of her soda.
"I'll be fine, really. Every time I think I'm done with the whole morning sickness thing, it hits again. Sorry."
Wesley turned a worried eye to the girl.
"You oughtn't to be having morning sickness anymore, surely? You've entered the second trimester, haven't you?"
"Yeah. But only by about a month. Maybe it'll end soon on its own."
"Have you asked your doctor about it?" Cordelia asked. "I mean, if in doubt, isn't it a good idea to check?"
Crystal looked sheepishly at the concerned faces surrounding her.
"Um...I don't have a doctor here."
"You what? Okay, that's it," Cordelia announced. "Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we're finding you an OB-Gyn of your very own. Then, I'm taking you shopping. You need baby-having clothes in a big way."
"That's okay. You don't need to."
Crystal's cheeks had turned a glowing crimson.
"Look, you need a doctor to make sure everything is okay in there. And you can't wear what you've got on much longer. Even your sweatpants will get all stretched out soon - if they haven't already."
"But I...I don't have any money. I can't pay."
"You can have some of mine," Anya blurted.
Everyone stared at her.
"An, honey, are you feeling okay?"
"I'm fine, Xander. I want to do this. It isn't fair that Crystal should be all naked and not see a doctor just because Buffy's father scorned her."
"Wow. Anya, that's really nice of you," Tara said. "Right, guys? I mean, that's really generous."
"Pfft!" The former demon waved her hand dismissively. "Just find Mr. Summers. When he shows up, I'll make him pay me back. And I'll charge interest."

"It's just...she said we were forever. Said she couldn't see anything in her future but me. Just me. Always. But now..." Angel shook his head as he toyed with his glass. He'd stopped drinking blood a while ago and switched to whiskey. Now he'd hit the maudlin stage of drunkenness; not that his companion seemed to notice or care.
"I know what you mean. I had a boyfriend. He started off great. It was like he'd been made just for me, y'know? Like maybe he was always gonna be my honey and we'd, well, not exactly grow old together, since we don't age, being vampires and all, but that forever thing you were saying. That was gonna be us." She fiddled with the umbrella in her drink as she gathered her thoughts. "Then suddenly he got all mean and all he could think about was...HER. Like I was just nothing or something."
"She's covered in his scent now. And he smells of her. I - I just don't know how much longer I can take it. I said I'd stay with them, but I don't know if I'm strong enough to be there every day and see her look at him that way. The way she used to look at me. It rips my heart to pieces every time she smiles at him. I don't know how much more I can take."
He turned to his companion. Through the haze of alcohol, she looked different. Softer, sweeter, stronger. He reached out a hand to touch the golden tresses. They felt wrong, but he could shut off his brain for a minute and feel the right silken hair.
The vampiress leaned into his touch. He may not be Spike or Parker, but this tall, dark stranger had a power, a strength, about him that Harmony wanted. She took his hand, noting his blurred eyes and unsteady gait. He needed her. She could feel it.
"Come on, baby, let's find someplace a little more private. I know a great little crypt on the other side of town."
She led him out of the bar.
He made no attempt to resist her.
*****
She smelled so sweet.
Her skin like silk beneath his questing fingers made him shiver and groan with delight.
She tasted even better than she smelled.
He wrapped her tighter in his arms as he filled her with his stiff cock. He couldn't believe how wet and open she was for him.
All for him.
She whimpered, raising her hips to meet his.
"You like that, do you?" he whispered in her ear as he ground his pelvis in a circular motion that teased her clitoris even as he pumped into her.
"It's so good, Rupert," Buffy moaned. "Never stop loving me."
"I love you, Buffy. Now and always."
Her only answer was a wordless cry as she tightened further around his swollen shaft.
*****
Nothing.
He felt nothing.
Not even the urge for a cigarette, let alone the shattering pain of his soul being ripped from his body.
Angel looked over at Harmony, asleep on her side of the worn and stained mattress someone had abandoned in the cold and cheerless mausoleum long ago.
What the hell was he doing here?
What was he doing with her?
No wonder he hadn't lost his soul.
This wasn't happiness. This was just a fuck with a faceless girl.
Still, he mused, it could be worse.
At least he didn't have to fear cheap tawdry sex with a complete stranger.
He suddenly felt a surge of superiority. After all, Xander couldn't make that claim.
Maybe being a vampire didn't entirely suck after all.

"Are you sure it's safe to go home now? We were only gone, like, two or three hours."
"Come on, Cordy," Xander scoffed. "How long do you think it takes them? Nobody can keep going for three straight hours."
Cordelia rolled her eyes.
"You didn't have the room next to them that weekend before they got married. Believe me, they can go all night long if they want to. And loud? If they lived in the flightpath of a major airport, it'd be the airport wanting to move because the neighborhood is too noisy."
"Not needing to hear this, Cordy!"
"Don't listen to her, Xand," Willow soothed him. "She's probably just exaggerating."
"Let me assure you that she's telling you the absolute truth. I've never heard anything like them," Wesley informed them. "Still, they do have to be careful of the baby. I'm sure everything will be just fine."
The little band approached the door as Leo pulled out his keys. They had barely entered the living room when they heard a clear cry from up the stairs.
"Oh God, Rupert! Yes!"
This was quickly followed by a deep masculine shout, and several softer sounds of satiety before quiet once more reigned in the house.
Xander looked around the group.
"Okay, who's going in with me to soundproof their room as a Christmas present?"
*****
The new day dawned brightly, if a bit on the chilly side. Buffy nestled her naked body closer to the equally naked body of her husband. She'd missed snuggling in the morning after making love all night.
She kissed Giles' shoulder as she ran her fingers through the curls on his chest. The next thing she knew she was on her back looking into dark green eyes.
"Good morning, luv," he whispered against her lips.
"Heya snugglebunny."
Giles snorted.
"Snugglebunny? Buffy, where on earth do you come up with these ludicrous terms for me?"
The girl shrugged.
"They just pop into my head and out my mouth. I can't stop them."
"Well I bloody well can."
With that, he melded his lips to hers and kissed her deeply. Their giggles quickly turned to soft groans as their tongues mingled.
They might have gone farther if there hadn't been a knock on their door just then.
"Hey! Rise and shine, you two! Did you guys forget you're on breakfast duty this morning?"
Giles bowed his head to the pillow briefly before replying.
"We're just coming."
Buffy dissolved into laughter.
"Great! You just had to put it like that to Anya!"
