#12 - The High School Cross-over Challenge

Submitted by Shelley

There are many, many movies and television shows set around high schools, so there have obviously been a ton of characters over the years who are teachers. The best of these characters, of course, take great interest in their students and will go to extraordinary lengths to help them.

This is great for most students, but a little difficult for those who have secret identities to protect...
Ignoring all time differences, have your favorite teacher transfer to Sunnydale High.
(Our Miss Brooks, Sidney Poitier's character from "To Sir With Love," Robin William's character from "The Dead Poet's Society," Mr. Kotter, Ralph from "Greatest American Hero," you name it.)

Must haves:

This transferring teacher deciding to take Buffy under his/her wing, because s/he feels sorry for Buffy after talking to Principal Snyder. If you favor another 'ship, have the transferring teacher take an interest in that Scooby as well.

The transferring teacher deciding that Giles is a bad influence upon Buffy and the other Scoobies, or that there is something wrong with his relationship with one or all of them.

The teacher hearing a woman's scream, and arriving in a dark alleyway just in time to see Buffy, Giles, and your favorite 'shipper (if not Buffy) surrounded by a cloud of dust. Make Giles stutter in embarrassment throughout this scene.

Because this is set during high school, there can not be any overt romance unless it is with the cross-over teacher. It's okay if you want your fic to DRIP with subtext--and flirting couldn't hurt--but no sex with a minor. ('Cause Giles would never do that!)

Also, if the transferring teacher is Jeri Ryan's character from "Boston Public," Giles absolutely can not be attracted to her. Not in the tiniest, slightest bit. (I have Seven of Nine issues...)
