Giles/Anya, Xander/Anya, Giles/open
What if Spike had been dusted by the loan shark before he ever made it
to the Magic Box? If Spike hadn't been there, the vampires never
would have attacked, Willow's crystal never would have been broken in
the confusion, and the memory loss spell would have remained intact at
least until Giles' plane left. Write a fic using this premise, with
these additional conditions:
Must haves:
* Leave the memory loss spell in effect for at least one week but for
less than one month. How it is finally broken is up to you.
* Have Xander be furious about the fact that Giles was sleeping with
Anya for that length of time, even though he knows that Willow is to
blame rather than Giles. Have our Watcher be overcome with guilt but
please: no tears.
* Have Anya graphically compare the two men in bed. Not to the
detriment of either Xander or Giles, but rather in the hopes of
enticing the two men into a menage a trois. It is up to you whether
one or both of them actually toy with the idea.
* If you favor a `ship other than G/A, have the other party be
hysterically jealous of Giles. Leave Giles somewhat clueless about
the true cause of his/her anger for a while.
* Show a bright, cheerful season one-ish Buffy, one that almost
justifies Willow's decision to do the spell in the first place.
* If you decide to still have Giles leave at the end of your fic, make
sure he cleans up the Xander/Anya mess before he goes. I don't want
to see him fleeing from this situation, but rather still putting his
Slayer before his own desires.
