#37 - Buffybot Challenge

The Buffybot Challenge

Post-"I Was Made To Love You", but the Scoobies don't know about the
Buffybot. Spike's still smarting because Giles shoved him into a
bookcase and told him to stay away from Buffy. He's also getting fed
up with the Buffybot and wants the real thing. So, he gets the
Buffybot (who'd do anything for her Spikey-kins) to sneak into Giles'
house one night while he's asleep, take off all her clothes, and hop
into bed beside him. He then "arranges" for Buffy to go over there,
using a few well-chosen comments about seeing her with Giles and the
pair of them being all lovey-dovey. Buffy finds the 'bot in Giles'
bed, and is understandably very upset.
Of course, Spike steps in to comfort Buffy after this terribly
shocking incident...

REQUIREMENTS
1. Any rating, from G to NC-17.

2. Everything up to and in IWMTLY must have happened (eg, you can't
write a fic where it's "AU, no Dawn".) - however, if you want to
change the ending of IWMTLY so that Joyce didn't die, that's okay.

3. Buffy must initially not believe Giles (or be so freaked out she
can't even think straight) when he tells her that it's not what it
looks like.

4. Buffy can't have any good feelings about the Buffybot's existence.
For example, she can't feel relieved that Giles has the same
romantic/sexual feelings about her that she has about him. As far as
she knows, her trusted mentor and friend had a sextoy built for
himself in her image. She must be freaked, angry, scared, or any
combination of the three.

5. Giles cannot have sex (even in his sleep!) with the Buffybot. If
he thinks she's the real Buffy, then he would also think she was
acting extremely strangely towards him. He can't act as if all his
dreams have been fulfilled and then fall into bed with her.

6. All the other Scoobs would have something to say about this. Don't
leave them out!

7. Buffy or another Scooby (not Giles) must eventually find out who
*really* owns the Buffybot.

OPTIONAL
a. Spike death.

b. The gang find a way to defeat Glory/Ben that doesn't involve Spike, or people leaping from towers.

c. B/G is **optional**. If you decide to write a B/G story, please abide by requirements 4 and 5.

d. A happy ending is also optional. >:)
